i was just wandering why didnt goku launch any mouth beams when he turned into a great ape for the first time

it was his first time and he didnt no how

did you forgot gohan he didnt know either and he launched mouth beams

i think goku didn't shoot mouth beams because he was not strong enough while gohan could because of the hidden potential he has when he get angry and when sayains turn into a great ape they get angry at least it seams that way
