After reuniting with his mother, Bulma, Trunks hears a news update on the location of the androids and he quickly powers up into his powered Super Saiyan form, now greatly augmented by his two years of training in the Hyperbolic Time Chamber. Meanwhile, the androids are about to kill another innocent man (in the manga he is killed before Trunks' arrival by being shot to the face by #17), when suddenly Trunks hurtles a very accurate energy attack which narrowly misses Android 17. The cocky androids foolishly underestimate Trunks and try to rush him. Trunks easily dodges their attacks and punishes them duly, obliterating Android 18 in a point-blank energy blast. Android 17 looks on in disbelief and his feelings soon turn to hatred when the outclassed android charges Trunks again, but he too is terminated with ease in a single blow, before being blown to dust effortlessly. Many fans may get the wrong impression of Goku Jr.'s first SS transformation in the DBGT movie. With the sparks of a SS2 flying from him as well as the SS2 aura. I believe he may have actually became a SS2 in that transformation. It is possibly when you consider his transformation compared to other characters. Some may relate this to the Majin Buu Saga when Trunks and Goten power up. I am talking about after SS3 Goku's fight with Buu, and before he went back to Other World. They both power up with extreme lightning coming from their bodies. That does not mean that they went SS2 however.

Now my point is that Goku Jr could have reached that level due to his extreme emotions toward the bears. When he was in the World Tournament his aura and Vegeta Jr's was a regular SS. Now remember Gohan's transformation into a SS2 in the Time chamber? The first time he transformed he was training with Goku, and this is looked at by fans with Goku's flashback. After the transformation, Gohan passed out and did not remember the transformation at all. The same thing happened to Goku Jr as he thought the bear had defeated Lord Yao. Gohan had to be extremely angry in order to transform. Just as Goku Jr throughout the movie displayed an unordinary power when angry similar to Gohan. So it is possible that Goku Jr reached the level in the movie, and he could reach it again if he had the right motivation.
