Goku gets stuck

This episode starts out with Goku training under 20x normal gravity. He is flying through an asteroid belt in his Capsule Corporation Spaceship. All of the sudden, a beeping noise is heard. Goku pushes the button on his clock, but no matter how much he pushed the button, it would not turn off. Then, we see a TV come down from the ceiling. It is Dr. Brief, and he tells Goku that a piece of the ship has come loose in the asteroid field. He explains that if it is not fixed, Goku will be sent off-course. Goku panics when he hears this news, but Dr. Brief then comforts him, and tells him that he will have to go outside and fix it himself. So Goku reluctantly walks out. Suddenly, the ship flies off without him. Luckily, Goku had a lifeline attached to the ship which prevented him from being flung out into space. Goku pulls himself in and then gets to where the damage is, and then repairs it. During that time, Dr. Brief was looking over his computer to see where the ship's altered course is now headed for is. He then makes a startling discovery. If Goku does not change his course, he will be swallowed by a star. Goku is hurtling for the star when it comes into view. It is Alpha H-Z, a red star that is bigger than the Sun. Before Goku can get inside and correct the ship, he steps on the glue he used to repair the damage to the ship, and his feet get stuck. As the star is fast approaching he is unsure what to do and so fires his Kamehameha. He is pushed away from the star and relaxes for a brief. moment. He is then pulled in towards the star once again due to its immense gravity. So he powers up his Kamehameha and fire it again, which provides Goku enough power to be freed from the star's gravitational pull.

A Namekian villager is fatally injured by Vegeta

Cutting to Planet Namek, Vegeta is shown flying toward a village. When he lands, he looks around and see various Namekians gardening and going about their day-to-day life. Vegeta demands to see the elder of the village. The elder arrives and announces his presence. Vegeta demands to have the Namekian Dragon Ball held at the village. The elder questions Vegeta's intentions, and Vegeta dodges the question, requesting the elder mind his own business. The elder then refuses. Vegeta challenges everyone in the village and then throws a ki blast at the elder. One of the Namekians jumps in front of the blast to protect him, and is killed.

Bulma, Krillin, and Gohan are all eating in their Capsule House situated in a cavern. Dende is the only one who is not eating and looks concerned. Then, Dende tells Bulma, Krillin and Gohan of the history of Planet Namek.

Meanwhile, the rest of the villagers attacked by Vegeta charge up their ki around their fist. When one fires a blast at Vegeta, so do the rest. When the smoke clears, one of the Namekians looks at the hole in the ground to find no body, and they all think he is dead. Vegeta then rises from the ground. The villager who thought Vegeta was dead then fires a blast at him. Vegeta is not even scratched by it, instead retaliating with a blast of his own.

Krillin and Gohan run outside to see what is going on. The sky starts to darken. Krillin then theorises that someone has used the Dragon Balls already. Dende is confused as to how he knows about the Dragon Balls, as he is not from Planet Namek.

Vegeta's blast evaporates a Namekian

Almost all the Namekians in the village that Vegeta is in, except the elder, have died. The elder tries to stop Vegeta from taking the Namekian Dragon Ball, but with little effort, Vegeta kills him. Vegeta then proceeds to take the Dragon Ball from one of the houses, and throws it into a nearby lake, so that the Frieza Force will not find it.

Back at another Namekian village, Frieza, Zarbon, and Appule are waiting for Dodoria to return after he was sent to kill Krillin and Gohan previously. Zarbon says that he must have run into some unexpected trouble that had nothing to do with the Earthlings, and Frieza retorts that Dodoria was expendable and returns to his ship.
