Its release date has been confirmed as September 2014 and it is the next in the S.H. Figuarts lineup for the Dragon Ball characters. Android 17's facial reaction here is that of complete calmness yet a devious snicker formulating allowing for a hint of a smile. His detail and paint job here is on the mark and an overall excellent replica. The best feature on this piece is likely his mobility, allowing for his torso to be rotated in a clockwise and counterclockwise motion. This piece is likely the most mobile piece yet for Android 17's character and also one of the most detailed additions under the S.H. Figuarts series in terms of both articulation and detail.

Battle Suit with Android 17

  • Androids Saga
  • Release date: 2002

This is a very unique addition by Irwin Toy. It is a genuine model of the Battle Suit worn by Staff Officer Black in the Red Ribbon Army Headquarters during the Commander Red Saga. However, oddly enough, it does not come with Staff Officer Black in the cockpit, but rather, a re-release variant of Android 17 form the previous Irwin line. The Android 17 figure is the same piece from prior with very minor paint adjustments. The packaging reads "Exclusive Android 17 Figure" as well as "Action, Sound, Lights" on the box front. The large package also comes with a Dragon Ball CCG card. As a vehicle and instrument of the Red Ribbon Army's military might, it makes for a superb collectible albeit inaccurately including Android 17 as opposed to Staff Officer Black. Regardless of this error, the boxed packaging very unique, featuring a large bubble to showcase the contents and a very nice portrait of the android characters on the back of the package. Introduced in 2002, this vehicle pack is one of the most detailed large box sets released by Irwin Toy.

  • Release date: 1990's

Released in the 1990s, this figure holds a transparent base and a bright orange hue. These figures are similar molds to the Super Guerriers and SBC figures released earlier. This specific Android 17 is a unique piece, unlike any other models or molds of the character. It holds a transparent hue rather than a full-color piece and as a Mexican produced figure, it is unique for maintaining its appearance and sustaining the overall detail of the piece although having a monochrome appearance. Android 17 is seen in what appears to be a levitating stance with both arms dangling around him and his knees slightly bent due to his movement.

MexbootlegAndroid17

Mexican manufacturer produced Android 17 figure

  • Dragon Ball Z GT Series
  • Release date: Unknown

This hard-to-find model was sculpted by a Mexican Manufacturer. The actual mold is quite unique and unlike other models, as many and most of the bases are just a redone instrumentation of other figures and/or just plain bootlegs of other sculpts. This one, however, is a new model in and of itself and was sculpted and sold as is. The paint job isn’t particularly brilliant but it is unique and is a bit on the poor side as is the case with some bootlegs or copied imports. Standing at 7 inches tall, this specific model is rather well-crafted and stands out amongst numerous others imported from these Mexican Manufacturers. Android 17 here is seen with a serious expression, maintaining both hands in a gripped posture. All his clothing, hair and accessories are kept intact for a unique piece. The detrimental factor is the style of his pants, which are rather loose as opposed to being tight jeans.

  • Release date: 2013

A more recent release in 2013 came in the form of Android 17 slamming his fist directly into Piccolo's gut, who is stunned by the stupendous caliber of the strike. This is a very devastating scene that is depicted in full color and as a resin-based piece. Android 17's stoic expression adds greater depth to the genuine feeling of the moment and Piccolo's expression of complete painful surprise completes the scene's bone-crushing emotion. Of course, the model kit is resin-based and goes along well with the most recent statue pieces. This is a unique piece due to the fact that it features a fight scene, where Android 17 is depicted pummeling Piccolo. This statue diorama set comes with a certificate of authenticity for its 1st run in 2013 along with the diorama numeric being a certain number out of 50 produced. The certificate reads "This Android 17 vs Piccolo resin statue is a product of VKH Figure and designed by K.Ho. Each piece is part of a limited edition and comes with a copy of this certificate." The certificate itself is further signed by the producer, Kenneth Ho. As a 2013 piece, the set is remarkable, featuring great impression placed on the movement and the very impact of the strike.
