Chapter 2, Sub Chapter 2 - "Hero Town in Danger!"

After recruiting Froze to the Dragon Ball Heroes in Chapter 2, Sub Chapter 2: "Hero Town in Danger!", Yuto and his friend Bocacchi manage to follow Beat, Note, and Froze to the Hero Lab in search of Great Saiyaman 3 having overheard Beat and Froze mention they were going to meet the Hero Master. The security guards Kang and Kong attempt to remove the boys as the Hero Lab's existence is a secret, but Great Saiyaman 3 tells them to let the boys go as they seem to have a reason for wanting to be there. The boys ask if they've seen Nim though they have no idea who he is. Bocacchi thinks some happened to Nim. Beat assumes another anomaly is involved with Nim's disappearance but stops himself from revealing too much and says the world hasn't been safe lately and Note adds to Beat's cover story of rampaging cosplayers to explain away the recent incursions by game world enemies into their reality such as Cooler, Dabura, Spopovich, and Yamu. Beat is certain it is definitely the work of a game character but decides it's better to feign ignorance to prevent creating a panic among the Town's civilian population. Yuto reveals that in addition to Nim, more kids have gone missing. Yuto also reveals Nim hasn't been home in ages and his mother is worried sick. Bocacchi says though Nim likes to go out he always comes back home, and it is unlike him not to. Great Saiyaman 3 notes it is likely not just a runaway case and Beat agrees saying they better look into it. Great Saiyaman 3 assures the two boys they will help find their missing friend. Bocacchi thanks the Hero Master as he doesn't think they can find Nim on their own. Great Saiyaman 3 says if they work together, he'll turn up eventually. He asks Beat, Note, and Froze if he can count on them, and they all agree. Beat suggests they hit the Hero Stadium first, while Great Saiyaman 3 covers the town and to let him know if they find something.

However, they find no sign of Nim besides Beat saying that a couple of kids told him they battled Nim the other, but no other leads. Froze says staying where they are would just be a waste of time and Beat agrees saying they should report back. He contacts Great Saiyaman 3, and he asks if they found anything and Beat is about to tell him when Note points out another tear in space like the one Dabura, Yamu, and Spopovich flee through previously. Froze has never seen one and asks what it is. Beat says he wishes he could tell him but before he can finish explaining why he can't he notices they are being sucked in. Note asks if they have any suggestions how to escape point out that at this rate, they will be sucked in but before she can finish all three get sucked into it.

Chapter 2, Sub Chapter 3 - "An Unthinkable Appearance"

They are soon approached by another kid around their own age that they don't recognize and wonder if he's a game world inhabitant. However, the kid asks if they are from Hero Town and reveals he's an SDBH player. However, they're conversation is interrupted by the appearance of an anomalous Dodoria and Zarbon who had been sent to invade Earth by Frieza due to an anomaly.

Dodoria and Zarbon are looking for the Earth Dragon Balls ans try to force them to tell them where they are though they try to play dumb, but this leads to a fight. However, the DBH Team is able to kill the pair. After the battle, they ask the kid his name and to they're disappointment he says his name is Kagyu as they were hoping they had found Nim. However, Kagyu turns out to be Hero Switch-compatible and was one of the other missing kids, though Nim remains missing. Unfortunately, the DBH Team is sidetracked by the anomaly in Age 764 which results in Future Trunks being a no show and they also discover that the anomalous Dodoria and Zarbon were working for an anomalous Frieza who had not come into conflict with Goku and had invaded Earth for its Dragon Balls which leads him and his Ginyu Force to team up with Mecha Frieza and King Cold. Fortunately, the DBH Team is able to defeat the villains and with some help from the Dragon Team (including the recently arrived Goku) they are able to kill Mecha Frieza and King Cold, with Goku and Beat killing the anomalous Frieza with their Ancestor-Descendant Kamehameha to save Froze when his attempts to convince Frieza to leave Earth fall on deaf ears. After the battle, the DBH Team returns home to let the team recover from their recent battles.

Chapter 3, Sub Chapter 1 - "Great Saiyaman 4"

In Chapter 3, Sub Chapter 1: "Great Saiyaman 4", an attack on Hero Town by the Organization of Babidi forces the DBH Team to put the search for Nim on hold to deal with the current crisis threatening Hero Town using a new feature added to the Hero Switches by Leggings and Anne that allows Beat, Note, Froze, and Kagyu to tap into their latent power to allow them to use game world abilities in the real world. Additionally Beat requests a Great Saiyaman Suit and Great Saiyaman 3 permits Leggings to tell the team about the Hero Switch's built-in feature that allows it to materize the suit which Beat uses to become Great Saiyaman 4. During the ensuing conflict with Babidi's Forces, it is discovered that Babidi had brainwashed another missing SDBH player named Kabra who the team is forced to defeat to weaken Babidi's spell and force the wizard to come out of hiding. Babidi reveals himself and summons either Kid Buu or Neko Majin Z, Neko Majin Mike, & Neko Majin Mix from the sealed ball depending upon the anomaly (Kid Buu is encountered on the main map while the three Neko Majin are encountered in the extra dimensional space map. Regardless in both scenarios, Great Saiyaman 4 kills Babidi freeing Kabra who reverts to his human form. Like Kagyu, Kabra is revealed to be Hero Switch-compatible and the DBH Team convince him to join as a way to atone for his actions while under Babidi's control. However, Leggings informs the team there has been another attack and Hero Town can't handle much more of these attacks. The DBH Team set off to defend the town.
