Assault! (突撃) is a rush attack used by Goten

Overview

First, Goten charges at the opponent and punches them away. Then, he flies up into the air and charges down at the opponent head-first at top speed. When the opponent dodges, Goten blasts the ground with an energy sphere to propel himself towards the opponent's direction to knock them away with a headbutt, using his falling speed to inflict severe damage.[1]

Goten uses this attack during his match against Trunks at the 25th World Martial Arts Tournament. After exchanging blows and getting knocked back by Goten, Trunks fires an energy wave at Goten. Goten flies high up into the air to avoid the attack and charges down at Trunks with the "Assault!" rush. A shocked Trunks dodges the attack by transforming into a Super Saiyan and blasting Goten out of bounds, winning the match.

Appearances in games

The attack is called Spike Launcher in Dragon Ball Z: Super Butōden 3 and Goten Attack (悟天アタック) in Dragon Ball Z: Ultimate Battle 22. It also appears in Dragon Ball Z: Shin Butōden and Dragon Ball Z: The Legend.

It was named "Assault!" in the Budokai Tenkaichi series and Dragon Ball Heroes, where it is one of Goten's Blast 2 attacks. It is named "Charge" (like in Daizenshuu 7) in Dragon Ball Z: Budokai 2, Budokai 3, Infinite World, and the Raging Blast games.

In Dragon Ball: Xenoverse, it once again appears under the name Charge and is one of Goten's super skills. Tennenman can also use it as one of its Super Skills as well. It also appears as one of GT Goku's super skills as part of his secondary moveset in the GT Pack 1 DLC. The Future Warrior can obtain the skill in Parallel Quest 29: "2nd World Tournament Tag Team".
