The attack on Gure's planet was an operation led by the brother duo, Abo and Cado prior the events of Yo! Son Goku and Friends Return.
The two former soldiers of Frieza, once ranking with the Ginyu Force elite special forces, had found resistance led by Tarble and his wife Gure, but the two were not strong enough to defeat the duo (who became at least as strong as their master in his first form).
Two years after Kid Buu's defeat, the Tarble and Gure escape the planet, looking for Tarble's elder brother, Vegeta, on Earth so he can defeat the two Galactic Frieza Army renmants once and for all (a Namekian they've met along the way told them that Vegeta had "defeated Frieza" rather than Goku).
