"Buu make you chocolate!!"
Good Buu to Evil Buu in "Buu Against Buu"

Chocolate Beam (チョコレートビーム Chokorēto Bīmu)[2][3][4] is a variation of Transfiguration Beam used by Innocent Buu.

Overview[]

Buu announces that he will turn the victim into chocolate and points his antenna at them to fire an energy wave, turning them into a chocolate bar.

Usage[]

Innocent Buu used this technique to turn some of the earthlings into chocolate after lifting them into the air on Babidi's orders since nobody gave up Goten, Trunks, and Piccolo to him. Once he's full, Buu blasts the remaining chocolate bars, melting them over the city before destroying it.[5]

Good Buu used this technique against Evil Buu who deflected it back at him, turning into chocolate. Evil Buu would then eat the chocolate Good Buu and turn into Super Buu.[6]

Super Buu used this technique to turn Krillin, Android 18, Marron, Bulma, Ox-King, Videl, Yamcha, Puar, Master Roshi, Oolong, and Mr. Popo into chocolate after escaping the Hyperbolic Time Chamber.[7]

Good Buu used this technique against Kid Buu but he dodges it and fires an Energy Wave through Good Buu's chest on the Sacred World of the Kai.[8]

Good Buu used this technique on Mr. Satan and Pan to protect them inside his body from Baby Vegeta.[9]

Majuub uses Majin Beam against Super Baby Vegeta 2.[10]

Variations[]

Video Game Appearances[]

In Taiketsu, it is named Chocolate and Majin Buu transforms into Super Buu to perform it.

In Supersonic Warriors, whenever a character is hit by the Chocolate Beam, they take on the form of a cookie version of themselves. The character can still move around and fly while in this state but take more damage and cannot attack. They turn back to normal when hit or after a certain amount of time.

In the Budokai Tenkaichi series, Chocolate Beam has a different use. After the opponent is turned into a chocolate version of a person, they then look up at the user, who then looks at him ominously. The chocolate then attempts to back away, only for the user to perform a physical attack on the transformed character, sending them flying away and turning back into their normal form.

In Dragon Ball Heroes, the different Buus and Majuub use the Chocolate Beam where the opponent is not turned into chocolate, but instead is just hit like a normal beam would. In the game, Majuub's version is called Majin Beam. Additionally, in one of the promotional videos for the game, Majin Buu uses the attack to turn a whole bunch of people into candy before being stopped by Future Trunks.

Chocolate Beam in Zenkai Battle

In Zenkai Battle, Chocolate Beam allows Majin Buu to regain strength by punching the opponent turned into chocolate (if other characters hit the chocolate, it also recovers Buu's health).

In Battle of Z, Majin Buu can use the technique where the target is turned into a piece of chocolate and cannot move, attack, or block for a small period of time.
