Counterattacks (反撃開始! Hangeki Kaishi!) are moves used in Dragon Ball video games.

Overview[]

They take 1 action and are used to defend against a physical combo. Not only will it fully block the combo but it will also allow the character to perform a physical combo of his own with the same action. Counter attacks are much harder to block or dodge than normal attacks and cannot themselves be countered but may still be defended against by the opponent in very rare circumstances.

Video Game Appearances[]

"Counterattack!" is also the name of Kid Goku's "Rock, Scissors 'N' Paper" Rush Attack in the Budokai Tenkaichi series. The first punch, double knifehand strike and roundhouse kick come from the fight against Mercenary Tao, briefly after Goku stood up after the assassin's Crane Style Assassin Strike.
