The technique is used by Major Metallitron in Dragon Ball, during his fight against Goku on the Muscle Tower, however, Goku manages to escape and eventually defeats Metallitron.

During the battle against the Saiyans, Great Ape Vegeta, angry after Goku damages his eye during their fight in Gizard Wasteland, grabs Goku and starts to crush his bones. Goku is saved when Yajirobe cuts Vegeta's tail with his sword.

Great Ape Gohan uses this technique with one hand twice, first on Piccolo during their first training days at Break Wasteland,[4] and then on Goku during the battle against Turles after both he and his father had fallen into groundwater and he releases Goku from the hold only when Icarus appears.[5] In Dragon Ball Z: Lord Slug, Great Namek Lord Slug uses this technique on Goku after catching him with Mystic Attack. He uses it again shortly later, on Piccolo.

In Dragon Ball Z: Wrath of the Dragon, Hirudegarn in his base form uses the technique on Gohan. Later, in his transformed state, he performs a similar technique to this with his tail, also against Gohan.

A Great Namek Future Warrior using Crushing in Hands in Dragon Ball Xenoverse 2

When Hatchiyack increases his size in Shin Saiyajin Zetsumetsu Keikaku - Uchū-Hen, he can grab and crush his opponent in his hand. The attack is a Grapple Throw used by giant characters (such as the Great Apes) in the Budokai Tenkaichi series, a special move used by Great Ape Baby in Dragon Ball Z: Ultimate Tenkaichi and Great Namek Lord Slug in Dragon Ball Heroes. The attack also appears in Dragon Ball Z: Battle of Z, used by Great Ape Vegeta. In Dragon Ball: Xenoverse, it appears as a grab used by Great Ape characters (Vegeta, Bardock, Nappa, and Baby).

In Dragon Ball Xenoverse 2, while using the Become Giant Awoken Skill a Namekian Future Warrior (Xenoverse 2) can perform this technique as their grab/throw while transformed.
