Dark Eyes is one of Hirudegarn's defensive abilities. Hirudegarn turns into ectoplasm[1] to prevent damage, and reappears in front of the enemy for a surprise attack.

Hirudegarn uses Dark Eyes to avoid Goku's Kamehameha
This move seems to be reflexive in nature, making Hirudegarn invincible due to his intangibility. This technique can only be bypassed when Hirudegarn is physically attacking, as he needs to be tangible to make contact with something.
Appearances in games
Dark Eyes was named in the Budokai Tenkaichi series, where it is one of Hirudegarn's Blast 1 that allows him to avoid a single attack. Hirudegarn also uses this technique in the arcade game Dragon Ball Heroes, and in the boss fight against him in Dragon Ball Z: Ultimate Tenkaichi.
