Dende is the only Namekian shown to have this ability in the Dragon Ball series and it later proved that he is a member of the Dragon Clan.
In the computer game Dragon Ball Online, it is revealed that the Healer-type Namekian sub-class, named Dende Priest (or Dende Healer), is a succeeding supportive caste to the Dragon Clan core class. Members of this class have powerful healing abilities, similar to Dende himself, and wield scrolls on their backs in unison with their staves. In the video game Dragon Ball Z: Legend of the Super Saiyan, Dende learns the ability to heal people once he reaches level 3.
