Dragon Ball Z: Buyū Retsuden
From Dragon Ball Wiki, the ''Dragon Ball'' encyclopedia
Dragon Ball Z: Buyū Retsuden (ドラゴンボールZ 武勇烈伝 (Doragon Bōru Zetto Buyū Retsuden?), loosely translated to "Dragon Ball Z: Sagas of Bravery") is a Dragon Ball Z game for the Mega Drive. It was first released in Japan, and a French version of the game was also released in some European countries as Dragon Ball Z: L'appel Du Destin ("Dragon Ball Z: The Call of Destiny"). The Japanese version was also sold in Portugal, packaged with a regional converter (Mega Key III). However the game was never translated into English and was not released in North America. The game seems loosely based upon various events of the Dragon Ball Z anime, albeit in a "what if?" kind of way. (For example, Android 18's story already has her married to Krillin while Krillin's story has him defending/disabling her from being absorbed by Cell.)
The game was released in Japan on January 1, 1994. It was also released in France, under the title Dragon Ball Z: L'appel Du Destin (Dragon Ball Z: The Call of Destiny)
The game plays very similarly to the Super Butoden series for the Super Famicom.
