Dragon Ball Z: Collectible Card Game is a video game for the Game Boy Advance based on the Dragon Ball Z Collectible Card Game of the Dragon Ball franchise. Its Story Mode covers all of Dragon Ball Z, from the start of the Saiyan Saga to the end of the Kid Buu Saga.
The game is played with the same rules as the card game, and uses the same type of cards. Menu screens allow for quick and easy playability, along with providing summaries for reference. As the player wins battles against the computer, new cards become unlocked, along with more challenging opponents. The opponents are traditional Dragon Ball Z villains, and usually use decks which include their own personality card(s).
The game uses all the sets up of the Dragon Ball Z Collectible Card Game until the Cell Saga expansion. Cards in newer sets are unlocked in the usual way, by beating increasingly more challenging opponents.
