Dragon Ball Z: Season Three is the third volume of the Dragon Ball Z Blu-ray releases by FUNimation Entertainment. It includes the full episodic installments from the Frieza Saga, episodes 75 through to 107.

Information

Dragon Ball Z has been adapted to the Blu-ray format in the 2013 and 2014 lineup of re-releases. Released by Funimation, this series includes the seasons of Dragon Ball Z with the original Shunsuke Kikuchi soundtrack and the Bruce Faulconer soundtrack in Blu-ray format, being released for the first time with the original music intact and without any altering to the uncut footage while in Blu-ray format. All volumes come with 4 discs comprising of a multitude of episodes and compiling each season in one great set. Season 3 has a tentative release date of April 1, 2014 and contains episodes 75-107, collecting the Frieza Saga. The packaging features a connective image on the front panel which is combined through the collection of each volume in this Blu-ray set. The following Blu-ray season volumes are expected to be released sometime in 2014.

Cover art

The cover features Frieza in his final form with a sinister smirking glare as he unleashes a wave of blasts, his tail flailing behind him. Krillin is depicted performing his deadly Destructo Disc maneuver with a fierce expression as Nail, Guru, and Dende are portrayed in the background. Additionally, the cover connects to the Season Two set with the remainder of the Ginyu Force, Burter, and Jeice dashing through the skies. The cover also features a Namekian battleground. A six-star ball and portion of the seven-star ball are seen revolving around the characters.

This release was in the top ten best sellers on Amazon.com during the first week it was released. The volume sold more than 8,000 copies in its first week.[1]
