The Dragonthrow is Goku's signature grapple throw. The user grabs his opponent's arm, leg, tail, or antenna, then he spins and throws them away.

Goku uses examples of this move when he grabs Frieza's tail during their battle on Namek, Majin Buu's tentacle during their battle near West City, and Super Mega Cannon Sigma's leg at the end of their battle on M-2. Goku's student Uub uses the throw as part of his Blazing Barrage Palm technique.

Super Saiyan Bardock uses a similar technique against Chilled. Piccolo also uses a similar throw: on Android 13, and to stop a Cell Jr.'s counterattack on him. A Cell Jr. uses the attack on Vegeta while Gohan powers up right before his transformation into a Super Saiyan 2. Future Trunks performs a similar throw as part of the Heat Dome Attack he uses to destroy Future Cell.

Super Buu uses a similar technique during his fight with Gotenks, throwing him through Kami's Lookout and down into a lake. Ultimate Gohan uses it on Super Buu, throwing the Majin after grabbing his antenna. Kid Buu uses a similar technique on Super Saiyan 3 Goku.^[2] Shortly after the Majin Buu conflict, Goku uses a Dragonthrow to throw a snake away from a pterodactyl nest.^[3]
