Eight-Arm Fist is a physical technique that involves its user moving their arms fast enough that they seemingly have eight of them, allowing them to attack and defend themselves much more efficiently.

Goku uses the Hasshu-ken

The technique was developed by the martial arts master King Chappa, and used in the 22nd World Martial Arts Tournament. Goku later uses the Eight-Arm Fist in retaliation against the Four Witches Technique used by Tien Shinhan during the 22nd World Martial Arts Tournament.

Unlike the Four Witches Technique, the user does not actually grow eight extra arms, as the extra arms are simply an illusion created by moving their arms really fast to the point the opponent cannot tell which of the eight arms are real, as the illusionary extra arms all appear solid creating the illusion that they really have eight arms.

Tambourine developed an even stronger version the One-Hundred Arms using his superior speed to create the illusion he had 100 arms to counter King Chappa's version. Tambourine's variation was strong enough to overcome even King Chappa's Eight-Arm Fist despite Chappa having developed the original concept behind both techniques (though Chappa likely realized the mechanics behind Tambourines technique, he would have been aware that Tambourine's speed must be greater than his as he was able to produce the illusion of 100 arms instead of eight, which likely allowed Tambourine being able to more effectively counter Chappa's technique and kill him).

Appearances in games

It is used by Goku, as well as the Mutated Namek Banjo, in the video game Dragon Ball: Daimaō Fukkatsu.
