"A beam attack from the Galactic Patrolman's Ray Gun." |
Elite Beam is a weapon-based energy attack used by Galactic Patrolman Jaco.
Overview
The user draws a standard Galactic Police issue Ray Gun and fires a beam of energy at the opponent. Alternatively a user can use their ki to fire an energy beam in a similar fashion.
Jaco uses the attack against Frieza's Soldiers in Dragon Ball Z: Resurrection ‘F’.
Variations
- Elite Shooting - An Energy Barrage variation of Elite Beam where the user randomly fires Elite Beams in 5 different directions.
Appearance in games
Elite Beam was named and first appeared in Dragon Ball: Xenoverse as one of Jaco's Super Skills. It can also be learned by the Future Warrior by taking on Jaco as a Master and completing his Training Qualification Mission. When used by the Future Warrior the Ray Gun is not present and simply uses their Ki to fire the beam instead, though the Warrior will still perform skill as if they where drawing the Ray Gun and firing it.
"Uses a ray gun to fire a beam in front of the character." — Dragon Ball Xenoverse 2 Tutorial description |
In Dragon Ball Xenoverse 2, Elite Beam returns as one of Jaco's Super Skills which the Future Warrior (Xenoverse 2) can learn by completing School Quest: "Lesson 1" of Jaco's Training. Unlike its depiction in Xenoverse, a small Ray Gun actually is used to fire the beam when it is used by the Future Warrior in Xenoverse 2.[3]
In Dragon Ball Fusions, it appears under the name Elite Beam Gun and is used by several characters such as Tyber. In Dragon Ball Fusions, it is treated as a stronger version of Beam Gun.[1]
