The Energy Absorber^[1] (エネルギー吸引機) is an energy collector Yamu uses to drain and collect pure energy for the resurrection of Majin Buu.

OverviewEdit

Yamu uses the Energy Absorber during his attack with Spopovich against Gohan at the 25th World Martial Arts Tournament. Surprised by the increased energy rating on the energy container caused by Gohan's Super Saiyan 2 form, Spopovich and Yamu jump into the arena to attack him. As Gohan prepares to fight them, Supreme Kai uses his telekinesis to restrain Gohan, allowing Spopovich to grab Gohan by the neck while Yamu stabs him and drains his energy with the Energy Absorber. When finished, Yamu takes the energy container out of the opponent and flies off to the location of Babidi's spaceship with his partner.

At the Southwest Forest (the spaceship's location), Yamu gives the Energy Absorber back to Babidi, who then kills Spopovich and orders Pui Pui to kill Yamu. When Babidi injects the high amount of pure energy Yamu and Spopovich collected in the Energy Absorber, he realizes he should not have killed them.

Video game appearancesEdit

The Energy Absorber is an item in the video game Dragon Ball Z: Legendary Super Warriors.

It appears in Dragon Ball Z: Budokai Tenkaichi 3, used by Yamu during Spopovich's Ultimate Blast, Majin Buu Resurrection. Babidi also uses it in this game: as part of his grappling throw (he stabs his opponent and absorb their energy), to hit his opponent, and during his Ultimate Blast, the Babidi's Ultimate Power, in which the absorber is used to fire a beam of energy at the opponent.

Yamu also uses the Energy Absorber to perform his super attack in Dragon Ball Heroes, Energy Drain.
