Enter Trunks (未来から来た少年, Mirai kara Kita Shōnen; lit. "The Boy From the Future") is the twenty-eighth volume of the original Dragon Ball manga series. It was released on November 7, 1991 in Japan, and August 6, 2003 for the English version. It was released in North America as Dragon Ball Z volume twelve, with the chapter count restarting back to one. It concludes the Frieza Saga, goes through the Trunks Saga, and marks the beginning of the Androids Saga.
Volume introduction by Akira Toriyama
"I can’t just sit around and do nothing. I never feel comfortable if I’m not completely absorbed in something. Just like how sharks will die if they stop swimming. Anything is fine, no matter how pointless, but I have to be completely absorbed. Because of this, though, when there isn’t anything I want to do, I get really fidgety and pace around the room…. It’d be nice if “work” was one of those things I could absorb myself in, as well…."
Goku defeats Freeza and Namek explodes, but Goku narrowly escapes. Back on Earth, the Namekian Dragon Balls are used to revive Kuririn, Yamcha, Tenshinhan and Chiaotzu before wishing the Namekians to a new home. A mysterious youth appears and dispatches Freeza and his father on Earth. Goku lands and learns of the Artificial Humans from the boy from the future. Three years later, No. 19 and No. 20 appear as scheduled.
