Eric Vale

Christopher Eric Johnson (born April 28, 1974, in Dallas, Texas), known primarily as Eric Vale, is an American voice actor, ADR director, script and head writer who works for Funimation/OkraTron 5000. He is sometimes credited as Eric Johnson or Alpha Lagrange.

Eric Vale provided voices for a number of English versions of Japanese anime and video game series. He started using the stage name Eric Vale in 2001, when he joined an actors' union that already had an actor by the name of Eric Johnson. His favorite food is Italian with red wine, his favorite movie is Raiders of the Lost Ark.

Eric Vale is the voice of the World Tournament Announcer throughout the whole Dragon Ball series, Future Trunks, Trunks (as an adult), and many more. Eric Vale is also notable for voicing Vinsmoke Sanji in the Funimation dub of One Piece, Yuki Sohma in Fruits Basket, and Solf J. Kimblee in Fullmetal Alchemist. Eric Vale also voiced Arystar Krory 3rd in D-Gray-man, Kanta in Desert Punk, Oji Karasuma in School Rumble, Tobari Durandal Kumohira in Nabari no Ō, America and Canada in Hetalia: Axis Powers, and Tomura Shigaraki in My Hero Acedemia.

He was also a producer for Indefinitely and Interstate, and screenplay writer for The Rialto.

Trivia[]

  • Eric Vale also did the English voice of Casshern in Casshern Sins. Ironically, Casshern is an android who destroyed his own world while Future Trunks comes from a future where his world is destroyed by androids.
