False Courage is a supportive technique that raises the user's defense capacity and makes them immune to being stunned or paralyzed. Due to this increase, one can appear to be semi-invulnerable to physical and sometimes energy type techniques, though they still take damage to a lesser extent.

False Courage is used in the Budokai Tenkaichi video game series and Raging Blast games; it costs some of the user's Blast Stocks. The technique appears in Dragon Ball Z: Ultimate Tenkaichi as a special taunts that can be used when the character has low health.
