Now I'm Mad! (オレは怒ったぞ！, Ore wa okotta zo!)^[4] is a Power Up used by Goku in his Super Saiyan, Super Saiyan Blue, and Perfected Ultra Instinct forms.

Overview[]

Goku unleashes a burst of fury and raises his energy to the max, operating at full strength. For a short period of time, his fighting traits are drastically augmented, with the power-up itself forcing opponents back if they are too close to him.

Shortly after becoming a Super Saiyan on Namek, Goku uses his anger power-up before beating down Frieza for exterminating Krillin.^[5] Later in their fight, Frieza threatens Goku with a death much like Krillin's (merely referred to by Frieza as "that Earthling"), infuriating Goku into powering up again, causing volcanic eruptions all over the surface of the planet.^[6]

In Dragon Ball Super, when Goku Black informs Goku of how he stole Goku's body and Chi-Chi and Goten were murdered by him in his timeline, this caused Goku's anger to power him up. The power-up allowed Super Saiyan Blue Goku to overpower both Goku Black and Future Zamasu. However, once Goku stopped his assault, it gave Black enough time to heal and power-up himself to defeat Goku with his newfound Divine Lasso.^[7]

During the Tournament of Power, after Perfected Ultra Instinct Goku gets the upper hand on Jiren, the latter, refusing to believe in Goku's power along with being reminded of his failures, fires at Universe 7's stands in a fit of violence. Drastically infuriated by the attempt, Goku's anger reaches the breaking point and he completely decimates the Pride Trooper in retaliation.^[8]

In Dragon Ball Z: Cooler's Revenge, Goku uses the ability shortly after becoming a Super Saiyan when fighting Final Form Cooler on Earth, with the effects of the power up also causing Cooler to be knocked back.

Video Game Appearances[]

In Ultimate Battle 22, it appears at the end of the pre-fight cutscene of Goku versus Frieza.

In Budokai Tenkaichi 3, it is named Now I'm Mad! and is a Blast 1 used by Goku (Mid) in his Super Saiyan form.

In Burst Limit, the version used in response to Frieza not bothering to reference Krillin by name regarding his murder of him was also an unlockable drama scene titled "Oh, you mean Krillin?".

In the Raging Blast series, it is named Now I'm Angry!' and reappears as one of Super Saiyan Goku's Super Attacks.

In Dokkan Battle, it is the Active Skill of Pinnacle of Fury Super Saiyan Goku, which causes Goku to enter a one-turn Rage mode, making him invulnerable to all enemy attacks.

In Xenoverse, the move appears as an equipable Z-Soul which raises health by two stages and grants free skill use for a short time whenever an ally is knocked out. Super Saiyan Goku also uses it in cutscenes after transforming in Age 762.

In Xenoverse 2, it is used by Goku during certain story cutscenes. After the 1.09.00 Update DLC, Goku's Super Soul "Now I'm MAD!" can be equipped to Goku's custom skillset after purchasing in Partner Customization. In addition to Goku, it can be added to Gohan (Adult) and Gohan (Future)'s custom skillsets after purchasing it in Partner Customization. It can also be obtained by the Future Warrior as an Event Reward for certain Raid Quests. After the 1.17.00 Update DLC, it can be equipped to Goku (GT)'s custom skillset after purchasing it in Partner Customization. The Super Soul effects are activated when using an Awoken Skill, boosting strength to all attacks, increases amount of ki restored, and increases damage taken from all attacks by a medium amount.
