"The Flying Fortress – Vanished!" (消えた!?空とぶ要塞 Kieta!? Sora Tobu Yōsai, lit. "It Vanished!? The Flying Fortress in the Sky") is the thirty-second episode of Dragon Ball and the fourth episode of the Red Ribbon Army Saga. This episode first aired in Japan on October 1, 1986. Its original American airdate was February 14, 2002.
Summary[]
The Red Ribbon Army now starts pursuing Pilaf's Flying Fortress. When they go through the clouds, they lose the fortress. Colonel Silver gets out of the clouds but still can not see Emperor Pilaf. He sees some light and goes into the clouds yet still cannot see him. Emperor Pilaf sneaks up on him and shoots missiles, which hit the airplane.
At the Fire Mountain village, Goku and Chi-Chi beat some Red Ribbon army men and save Ox-King. Afterward, Goku says goodbye to Chi-Chi, much to her dismay (since she sees Goku does not know what a wedding was when he thought it was a food).
Emperor Pilaf puts his ship in the sand in the desert. He catches a few soldiers and Goku. The Red Ribbon Army finds Pilaf, shoots the ship from the outside. Goku makes it outside and hangs on to the ship. The Red Ribbon Army destroys the ship, and Goku is caught in the explosion and falls off the ship in mid-air. Emperor Pilaf and his henchmen survive using their parachutes, however, they are in the clutches of Colonel Silver. Having no other choice, Emperor Pilaf gives Colonel Silver the Dragon Ball.
