"Damn...Kakarot! The others may not have seen what happened, but you can't fool my eyes! That was no ordinary attack! The amount of force it channeled into that single point was devastating!"
Vegeta in "Goku Arrives at Last! Take Down the Ginyu Force!"

Super Elbow Smash is a Rush Attack used by Goku.

Overview[]

With a deadly calmness, Goku suddenly slides forward and launches a brutally powerful elbow strike at the opponent's gut, delivering enough force to shatter their body completely. In some games, he then spins around and kicks the opponent away.

Usage[]

During the events on Namek, Goku reached the battlefield where the Ginyu Force was overwhelming the combined efforts of Gohan, Krillin and Vegeta. After putting on an amazing display of newfound speed that left all three Ginyu Force members in shock, Goku confronted Recoome alone, who planned to use his Recoome Ultra Fighting Bomber to decimate the landscape in one shot. As soon as the brute charges towards Goku, however, he rushes headlong into a Super Elbow Smash as Goku laughs at him for leaving himself wide open. Unamused and in agonizing pain, Recoome collapses in defeat. Witnessing the exchange, Vegeta wonders if Goku has already reached the legendary Super Saiyan status since their battle on Earth.

Vegeta defeats Majin Ozotto's Recoome clone by using the same move.[1]

Video Game Appearances[]

In the Butōden series, Super Saiyan Goku uses this move.

In The Breakers, Future Trunks used this technique to defeat Recoome in the same manner Goku did, however as Future Trunks shows no mercy, the attack fatally injures Recoome.
