False Courage (やせがまん Yase Gaman) is a technique that raises the user's defense capacity.

Overview[]

The technique makes the user resistant to being stunned or paralyzed. Due to this increase, one can appear to be semi-invulnerable to physical and sometimes energy type techniques, though they still take damage to a lesser extent.

Usage[]

In Dragon Ball, Goku demonstrates this several times confronting and usually defeating opponents more intimidating than him.

Kid Goku's False Courage in Budokai Tenkaichi 3

False Courage is used in the Budokai Tenkaichi series and Raging Blast series; it costs some of the user's Blast Stocks.

The technique appears in Dragon Ball Z: Ultimate Tenkaichi as a special taunt that can be used when the character has low health.

In Dragon Ball Z: Battle of Z that technique was called Bring It On! (さあきやがれ! Saa kiyagare!, lit. Now, Bring it!) where it is used by Yamcha only.
