Atomic Blast (アトミックブラスト Atomikku Burasuto) is a Rush Attack used by Vegeta in his Super Saiyan Second Grade form.

Overview[]

First, Vegeta says "Fool!" and punches the opponent in their stomach. Then, he attacks the opponent with a roundhouse kick and a punch to their back. Finally, Vegeta flips upside down in the air and blasts the opponent away with a yellow energy wave fired from his hands, inflicting a huge amount of damage.

Usage[]

Vegeta uses this attack during his battle against Cell. Vegeta lures Semi-Perfect Cell into the ocean and the Android begins blasting the surrounding area in order to draw out Vegeta. When the Saiyan prince finally appears, Semi-Perfect Cell tries to attack him, but Vegeta counterattacks with the Atomic Blast rush, battering and blasting the creature out of the ocean.

Prior to his battle with Cell, Vegeta uses an attack very similar, but blue in color, against Recoome during their battle on Namek: while Recoome gets a hold of him, Vegeta fires the finishing blast of the Atomic Blast Rush onto Recoome's face, knocking him to the ground.

Video Game Appearances[]

Atomic Blast was named in Dragon Ball: Raging Blast, where it is one of Vegeta's Super Attacks in his 2nd Grade Super Saiyan form. It also appears in Dragon Ball: Raging Blast 2 and Dragon Ball Z: Ultimate Tenkaichi.
