Kid Goku[]

Base Form[]

Kid Goku BT3

Kid Goku's Japanese profile

  • Voice actor: Masako Nozawa (JP), Stephanie Nadolny (US)
  • Character Introduction:
This is Goku when he was a boy.
When Saiyans are born, their fighting strength is calculated and then their fate is decided. Goku, who had a low level, was sent to Earth as a low-class fighter, where Grandpa Gohan found and raised him.
Originally, Goku was a rowdy child because of his Saiyan blood, but one day he fell and hit his head hard, resulting in his brutal Saiyan characteristics disappearing, after which he grew up into a kind boy with a sense of justice.
At this time he has the telltale Saiyan tail and he turned into a Great Ape when he looked at the full moon. When he was caught by Pilaf and his gang he saw the full moon, turned into a Great Ape and broke out of the prison and escaped. He also beat Pilaf and his gang black and blue.
When he changes back from a Great Ape he does not remember anything during that time. He has no memory of the time when he saw the full moon as a child, turned into a Great Ape and trampled his Grandpa to death.
Since he was a baby, he was raised in the mountains far from the outside world, and because of that he does not have any basic education or knowledge. He could not tell the difference between a man and a woman without touching them and he thought that marriage was food. He was frighteningly ignorant of the ways of the world.
  • Chi-Chi's Commentary: Ahh... How nostalgic! This is Goku in his very young days!! That was when he promised to marry me!!
Special Techniques
Costumes
  1. Red gi (Kame), blue wrist bands, black belt, white socks, blue shoes, Power Pole
  2. Blue gi, red wrist bands, white belt, black shoes, Power Pole (Emperor Pilaf Saga)

Great Ape Goku[]

Great Ape BT3

Great Ape Goku's Japanese profile

  • Voice actor: Yashuhiko Kawazu (JP), Shane Ray (US)
  • Character Introduction:
This is a lower-class Saiyan warrior after being transformed into a giant ape by the light of the full moon.
The Saiyans have also developed an "artificial moon", which they can activate to transform at will.
Upon transformation, a Saiyan's fighting strength increases tenfold, but he loses all reason and becomes a raging beast.
Saiyans in this form have but one weak point: if their tails are cut off, they turn back to normal.
When the Saiyans wish to conquer a planet inhabited by strong warriors, they launch their invasion at the time of the full moon, aiming to take control of the planet in one decisive attack.
  • Chi-Chi's Commentary: Saiyans seem to turn into Great Apes when they look at the moon.

Chi-Chi[]

Chichi girl

Chi-Chi's Japanese profile

  • Character Introduction:
This is Chi-Chi in her childhood. She is Goku's wife, and the only daughter of the Ox-King. She is a naïve, expressive and rich girl.
When she was a girl she was searching for the Turtle Hermit to put out the fires of Fry Pan Mountain when she met Goku.
Her pure heart allowed her to easily ride on the Nimbus, and she was given a ride to Kame House.
When they were riding the Nimbus, Chi-Chi decided that she would become Goku's wife, and eventually fell in love with him. Goku even promised to marry her.
However, she became impatient waiting for Goku, who never came for her, and goes after him, participating in the World Tournament. She hides her name, wanting to be anonymous, and she fought Goku she completely lost.
Goku remembered the promise after the match and readily agreed to marry her. All of her goals were reached.
She is the type that cannot be stopped, even if she is wrong. Once she gets the (wrong) idea into her head she clings to it, especially in her younger days. She also is a little extreme. When she had killed a dinosaur for meat and met Yamcha immediately after, she thought he was an enemy and attacked. She also made a surprise attack on the Turtle Hermit, thinking he could dodge it if it really was him.
  • Chi-Chi's Commentary: This is embarrassing. This is my childhood... This was about the time Goku promised to marry me... hahaha

Goku (Early)[]

Son gokou

Goku (Early)'s Japanese profile

  • Voice actor: Masako Nozawa (JP), Sean Schemmel (US)
  • Character Introduction:
This is the main character of Dragon Ball, a descendant of the fighting Saiyan race.
As a child, he was sent from Planet Vegeta to conquer Earth. However an injury to his head made his Saiyan characteristics disappear, and Goku grew up as a kind-hearted Earthling because of his life with his adoptive parent, Grandpa Gohan.
Later he meets his brother, Raditz, and learns the secret of his origins. Goku, who hated the brutality of the Saiyans, decides to fight as Goku of Earth.
Goku wants to fight strong opponents because it is in his Saiyan blood. He loves fighting so much that the stronger the opponent, the more excited he becomes.
However his only goal is to beat his opponent. He basically has no intention of taking his opponent's life. He lets Piccolo and Vegeta go, after they were defeated.
He is not very concerned with things outside of fighting. He is sometimes indifferent, and he more or less has a habit of letting things go with an "Oh, well." even if he is met with an unreasonable situation.
His wife Chi-Chi has an extremely hard time with the household finances since Goku has the same attitude towards work and not having an income. Somehow they are getting by.
Goku's family can live the way they do thanks to the treasure that the Ox King had abundantly saved up.
  • Chi-Chi's Commentary: In Goku's young days... I was a lively young wife! And I'm still lively!

Goku (Mid)[]

Base Form[]

Goku (Mid) BT3

Goku (Mid)'s Japanese profile

  • Voice actor: Masako Nozawa (JP), Sean Schemmel (US)
  • Character Introduction:
This is Goku after his fighting strength has increased immensely by training under King Kai.
He learned various things from King Kai, and when he was about to resume a battle against a formidable foe, he appeared cold compared to his early days.
He follows Bulma and the others who had set out for planet Namek to revive their friends, killed by Vegeta and Nappa. While he was on the spaceship he trained in increased gravity, which allowed him to increase his strength even more.
He was so strong that immediately after arriving at Planet Namek he easily defeated the Ginyu Force who had been tormenting Vegeta.
  • Chi-Chi's Commentary: Geez, when it comes to Goku he won't work at all! Thanks to that we're extremely poor!
Special Techniques

Super Saiyan Goku[]

Goku (Mid) SS BT3

Super Saiyan Goku (Mid)'s Japanese profile

  • Voice actor: Masako Nozawa (JP), Sean Schemmel (US)
  • Character Introduction:
This is Goku in his Super Saiyan transformation.
On Planet Namek, Goku had officially awakened as a Super Saiyan at the height of his anger because Frieza killed Krillin. When becoming a Super Saiyan, his hair stands up, his hair and eyebrows become blond, his eyes turn green and a gold aura is emitted from his entire body.
When Goku first became a Super Saiyan, his character becomes brutal and he seems to change into a different person.
When becoming a Super Saiyan, his strength increases up to 50 times normal. He got out of the one-sided defensive fight with Frieza, and not only was he equal to Frieza, he won.
  • Chi-Chi's Commentary: Aaaah!! It's that Super Saiyan I hate!! Why did everyone in my family become so delinquent!!

Goku (End)[]

Base Form[]

Goku (End) BT3

Goku (End)'s Japanese profile

  • Voice actor: Masako Nozawa (JP), Sean Schemmel (US)
  • Character Introduction:
This is Goku after many fierce battles with formidable foes. His attitude becomes calm and one can feel his composure.
He died in the battle with Cell and was in the Other World, but he came back to this world to fight in the World Tournament exhibition.
It was there that the scheming Wizard Babidi was plotting to revive Majin Buu, and Goku was dragged into Supreme Kai's plan to stop it.
Like Vegeta, he is old, but the obvious non-aging Saiyan characteristic gives him an appearance hardly changed from his adolescent years.
  • Chi-Chi's Commentary: Even these days Goku still won't work. And who cares where he went. He didn't come back!!
Special Techniques
Costumes
  1. Orange and blue gi (Majin Buu Saga)
  2. Blue gi, orange wrist bands, white belt, dark green pants, white ankle tape, black shoes (Pre-Dragon Ball GT)
  3. Saiyan Battle Armor (Androids Saga)

Super Saiyan Goku (End)[]

Goku (End) SS BT3

Super Saiyan Goku (End)'s Japanese profile

  • Voice actor: Masako Nozawa (JP), Sean Schemmel (US)
  • Character Introduction:
This is Goku's Super Saiyan transformation after the Buu Saga.
When he was a Super Saiyan he had a violent temperament and a brutal personality, but he trained in the Hyperbolic Time Chamber before the battle with Cell and can now remain calm when he turns into a Super Saiyan.
Even if his emotions do not fluctuate, he can control the Super Saiyan transformation at will.
  • Chi-Chi's Commentary: He's always been problematic!
Special Techniques

Super Saiyan 2 Goku (End)[]

Goku (End) SS2 BT3

Super Saiyan 2 Goku (End)'s Japanese profile

  • Voice actor: Masako Nozawa (JP), Sean Schemmel (US)
  • Character Introduction:
This is Goku in his Super Saiyan 2 transformation.
This form surpasses the Super Saiyan form. He gains the power to transform to this form through training in the Hyperbolic Time Chamber with Gohan before the Tournament Cell came up with. At a glance this form is not that much different from the Super Saiyan's, but the gold aura he emits from his entire body is now lightning. His strength increases dramatically, but it is hard on his body.
He transforms into this form when he fights Majin Vegeta in the Buu Saga and when he fights Pikkon in the Other World Tournament.
  • Chi-Chi's Commentary: Hmmm, it looks like he's different from your average delinquent.
Special Techniques

Super Saiyan 3 Goku (End)[]

Goku (End) SS3 BT3

Super Saiyan 3 Goku (End)'s Japanese profile

  • Voice actor: Masako Nozawa (JP), Sean Schemmel (US)
  • Character Introduction:
This is Goku in his Super Saiyan 3 transformation.
This form has the most changes in appearance compared to the forms seen until now. His hair grows down to his waist and his eyebrows disappear.
He transforms into this form to stop Babidi from using Majin Buu to kill masses of people. In the later big battles, like with Majin Buu, Janemba and Hirudegarn, he transforms into this form, allowing him to power up into a completely different league.
However, his weak point is that the time he can remain outside of the Other World in this form is extremely brief, because in order to draw out an enormous amount of power it consumes an enormous amount of energy.
  • Chi-Chi's Commentary: I don't want to see Super Saiyans any more...

Goku (GT)[]

Base Form[]

Goku (GT) BT3

Goku (GT)'s Japanese profile

  • Voice actor: Masako Nozawa (JP), Stephanie Nadolny (US)
  • Character Introduction:
It's everyone's hero who has saved the Earth from trouble countless times. This is Goku turned into a child by Emperor Pilaf.
In DragonBall GT he sets out with Pan and Trunks to search for the Dragon Balls scattered in space.
Even though his body has become smaller, his strength is the same, and he can beat down any enemy.
On the surface his personality has not changed, but is it just imagination that because he now looks like a child it makes the things he do look childish?
  • Chi-Chi's Commentary: And as usual... Goku won't work... Well, as long as he's healthy!
Special Techniques
Costumes
  1. Blue gi, pink wrist bands, white belt, yellow pants, white ankle tape, black shoes
  2. Alter Color Swap

Super Saiyan Goku (GT)[]

Goku (GT) SS BT3

Super Saiyan Goku (GT)'s Japanese profile

  • Voice actor: Masako Nozawa (JP), Stephanie Nadolny (US)
  • Character Introduction:
This is GT Goku in his Super Saiyan transformation. Even if his body is small it is possible for him to transform, and he can crush the majority of enemies as a Super Saiyan.
Of course when he becomes a Super Saiyan he is not violent. Goku has an air of a first-class warrior, having fought many hard battles, but he is regrettably restricted by his childish appearance.
  • Chi-Chi's Commentary: Even at his age he's still acting like a punk...
Special Techniques

Super Saiyan 3 Goku (GT)[]

Goku (GT) SS3 BT3

Super Saiyan 3 Goku (GT)'s Japanese profile

  • Voice actor: Masako Nozawa (JP), Stephanie Nadolny (US)
  • Character Introduction:
This is GT Goku's Super Saiyan 3 transformation.
When he turns into a Super Saiyan 3 there are changes in his appearance; his hair grows, and his eyebrows disappear. His strength increases dramatically.
However, his weakness is that the time he can be transformed is shorter than usual because of his small body. There was a scene when he was fighting against Baby, and after only seconds, the transformation ended against his will.
  • Chi-Chi's Commentary: Could it be that even Pan's turned into such a bad delinquent... ?
Special Techniques

Super Saiyan 4 Goku[]

Goku (GT) SS4 BT3

Super Saiyan 4 Goku (GT)'s Japanese profile

  • Voice actor: Masako Nozawa (JP), Sean Schemmel (US)
  • Character Introduction:
The Super Saiyan 4 transformation is Goku's ultimate Super Saiyan form.
He had turned into a gold colored Great Ape in the battle with Baby Vegeta. He had lost his reason and was going on a rampage. When he saw Pan's tears his reason returned and he transformed into Super Saiyan 4. Of all the forms, this has the most changes in appearance. In this form his hair is black, the upper part of his body sprouts red fur, and he becomes wild. He is not small in this transformation, and he can return to his original height. Pan saw this and thought it was cool, and for the first time in years she began to have feelings of respect for Goku.
In addition to the moves that he has learned, like the Dragon Fist and Instant Transmission, he can now use the new special move, 10x Kamehameha.
  • Chi-Chi's Commentary: Not even I know... But, no matter how much he still changes, Goku is still my beloved husband!

Kid Gohan[]

Kid Gohan BT3

Kid Gohan's Japanese profile

  • Voice actor: Masako Nozawa (JP), Stephanie Nadolny (US)
  • Character Introduction:
This is Gohan as a child. He is the son of Goku and Chi-Chi. Gohan's name comes from Grandpa Gohan who had raised Goku.
According to Chi-Chi's plans, he will not have any martial arts training and he will be made to study for the education he will need for the future.
This results in Gohan being raised to be so polite that he hardly resembles Goku, but at the same time since he was raised so insularly and because he was spoiled in his upbringing, he becomes cowardly and timid.
However, when his friends or people that are important to him are in trouble, his dormant powers are immediately released and he displays tremendous strength. He will lose himself in anger and rush to attack the enemy and bear fatal wounds. He has done this when it seemed Goku was done for in the fight with Raditz, and when Krillin and Piccolo were in trouble in the fight with Frieza.
Gohan has a tail in his childhood, like Goku, and he will also transform into a Great Ape when he looks at the full moon.
  • Chi-Chi's Commentary: This is our son, our pride and joy! Sometimes... I don't approve of Super Saiyans. They stink up the neighborhood!
Special Techniques
Costumes
  1. Haircut, white neck scarf, violet gi, red wrist bands, red belt, brown Namekian boots (Vegeta Saga)
  2. Long hair, white head band, white neck scarf, violet gi, red wrist bands and belt, brown Namekian boots (Training with Piccolo)

Teen Gohan[]

Base Form[]

Teen Gohan BT3

Teen Gohan's Japanese profile

  • Voice actor: Masako Nozawa (JP), Stephanie Nadolny (US)
  • Character Introduction:
This is Gohan when he is a boy. After returning from Planet Namek, he studies hard to become a scholar while he waits with Chi-Chi for Goku's return. However, Gohan devotes himself to training with Goku and Piccolo, after learning of the android threat from Trunks, who came from the future
His physical growth has gone up due to training, and his strength has vastly improved from childhood, but his gentle nature and dislike for fighting has not changed. At this time, he hesitates and begins to doubt whether he can use his potential power.
As always, he and Piccolo have a teacher-student relationship. They help each other out when they are both in trouble.
  • Chi-Chi's Commentary: This is Gohan when he fought that guy called Cell... If you enter that something-or-other room you suddenly grow...
Special Techniques
Costumes
  1. Purple gi, blue wrist bands, blue belt, brown Namekian boots (Androids Saga)
  2. Orange gi, blue under shirt, blue wrist bands, blue belt, blue and red Boots
  3. Battle Armor (Androids Saga)

Super Saiyan Teen Gohan[]

Teen Gohan SS BT3

Super Saiyan Teen Gohan's Japanese profile

  • Voice actor: Masako Nozawa (JP), Stephanie Nadolny (US)
  • Character Introduction:
This is Gohan transformed into a Super Saiyan. He trained intensely with Goku in the Hyperbolic Time Chamber and gained the ability to transform into a Super Saiyan.
Gohan already showed a lot of potential power, but once he transforms into a Super Saiyan, he shows power that exceeds Goku at that same age.
Even though Gohan changes into a Super Saiyan, his dislike for fighting does not diminish. This is quite an awkward situation for a warrior.
Even in the Cell fight and when he exterminated Cyborg Tao, he was determined to do his best not to hurt his opponents. However his personality becomes a step to the next Super Saiyan form.
  • Chi-Chi's Commentary: Even if it is to save the Earth, why does my Gohan have to face danger... I guess there's no help for it if the Earth were to disappear.... I've endured it.

Super Saiyan 2 Teen Gohan[]

Teen Gohan SS2 BT3

Super Saiyan 2 Teen Gohan's Japanese profile

  • Voice actor: Masako Nozawa (JP), Stephanie Nadolny (US)
  • Character Introduction:
This is Gohan's Super Saiyan form transformed even further. He first changed to this form after he became angry over Android 16's destruction right before his eyes.
In addition to the characteristic Super Saiyan changes in appearance, he emits a lightning-like aura from his entire body and his strength greatly increases.
In Gohan's situation, in addition to then noted transformation, his personality becomes unrelenting and strong, a huge and complete about face. He shows no hesitation at all towards fighting.
He killed the Cell Juniors that were tormenting the Dragon Team without a second though, and he cornered Cell with merciless attacks.
  • Chi-Chi's Commentary: My Gohan is rapidly becoming a delinquent... But he fights for all of us... It's complicated...

Gohan[]

Base Form[]

Gohan BT3

Gohan's Japanese profile

  • Voice actor: Masako Nozawa (JP), Kyle Hebert (US)
  • Character Introduction:
This is Gohan, grown up into a strong young man.
When he turned sixteen years old, he stopped his independent study and education by correspondence and enrolled in Satan City's Orange Star High School.
He secretly protects the peace as a warrior of justice while he goes on with his life as a regular high school student with Videl and other classmates.
Since he has been skipping training his skills have become rusty. However after Goku returned to this world and participated in the World Tournament he trains with his younger brother, Goten, and is getting his skills back.
After Babidi's appearance, he and his friends stand up against Dabura and Majin Buu to protect the world's peace.
Compared to his past personality, he seems happy-go-lucky. A strange side can be also seen, almost bursting out like the Great Saiyaman. He might have been influenced by the Ginyu Force, which he saw when he was younger.
In the beginning of DragonBall GT it seems he wears glasses since his eyesight has deteriorated from studying so much.
  • Chi-Chi's Commentary: This is Gohan when he was about to start high school. Oh he looks so much like Goku. He's become very handsome.
Special Techniques
Costumes
  1. Purple gi, red wrist bands, red belt, red ankle bands, black shoes (Majin Buu Saga)
  2. Great Saiyaman outfit

He fought an increasingly hard battle with Dabura and Majin Buu in this form.
His fighting abilities are not as polished as they should be because he has skipped his training for many years.
  • Chi-Chi's Commentary: Just don't become a Super Saiyan, I said! But then that secret came out at the World Tournament...

Great Saiyaman's Japanese profile

  • Voice actor: Masako Nozawa (JP), Kyle Hebert (US)
  • Character Introduction:
This is Gohan in his Great Saiyaman transformation.
On the way to his first day of school at Orange Star High School, he came across a robber and stopped him in his Super Saiyan form. He went to Bulma for advice when strange rumors were spreading, and he figured that this would disrupt his life as an ordinary student.
Bulma made a device in the shape of a watch so he can transform. After that, Gohan would hide, transform into the Great Saiyaman, and stop crime.
Gohan had been protecting the city's peace, but Videl's persistent pursuit and simple leading questions tricked him and eventually his true identity was uncovered. Using that as leverage, she blackmailed him into teaching her how to fly and to participate in the 25th World Martial Arts Tournament.
In accordance with the tournament rules, helmets are forbidden, so he disguised himself with a turban and sunglasses. His heroic mannerism complete his disguise. However his mannerisms became his downfall, and gave him away to a classmate who was watching.
The poses and the lines are Gohan's originals and he thinks they are cool, but other than Goten and Chi-Chi, people tend to think that it's goofy. Gohan has absolutely no clue of this, of course.
  • Chi-Chi's Commentary: This is the awful suit Bulma made for my son to make him look like a dork! That Gohan, even at his age he's playing around...

  • Character Introduction:
This is Gohan's ultimate form, after his full hidden potential is released by the Elder Kai's magic.
After suffering serious injury at the hands of Majin Buu, Gohan was brought to the Supreme Kai's world to recover.
There, Elder Kai, after being released from the Z-sword, used his slow but effective magic to transform Gohan into this powered-up state.
Since all of Gohan's power has been released, his strength and fighting skills are even greater than in his Super Saiyan form.
In contrast to his Super Saiyan transformation, his appearance in this form does not change much, although there is a subtle change to his hairstyle and the look in his eyes.
His personality, on the other hand, changes drastically.
Gohan's reluctance to fight is forgotten, and he sets upon his enemies without mercy.
  • Chi-Chi's Commentary: Was that before or after he was absorbed by Majin Buu...? When we were revived he seemed a little more mature...

He met Goku and the others as they traveled in search of the Dragon Balls. He was hostile toward Goku at first, but over the course of their adventures they became friends, and Yamcha eventually joined Goku as a pupil of Master Roshi.
There was a time when Yamcha was so terrified of pretty girls that he would go into convulsions just looking at them. After traveling with Bulma, however, he managed to get over his fear. Actually, in an ironic turn of events, he turned out to be quite a ladies' man.
Bulma, who had been dating Yamcha for a long time, was furious at this turn of character, and broke up with Yamcha. Even so, Yamcha was never cured of his philandering ways.
In the TV series, we see that Yamcha spends his time between adventures as a professional baseball player.
And on King Kai's planet, Yamcha proves he has some serious fighting skills when he defeats Recoome and Guldo.
So in the final analysis, it would seem that Yamcha is actually a pretty cool guy.

  • Voice actor: Hirotaka Suzuoki (JP), John Burgmeier (US)
  • Character Introduction:
Tien Shinhan is a serious warrior hailing from the Crane School.
Initially, Tien was a pretty bad guy, essentially working as hired muscle.
In the World Tournament, he broke Yamcha's leg during their match, just for the sake of being cruel.
By the end of his match with Goku, however, Tien had learned the error of his ways. He had a falling out with his teacher, the Crane Hermit, Master Shen, and he and Chiaotzu left the Crane School forever.
After that, Tien devoted himself to becoming stronger. To that end, he and Chiaotzu travel the world on various training missions.
However, when the Earth is in danger, he will always rush back to join his friends on the battlefield.
In the early days, the wild Launch developed a bit of an infatuation with Tien, and she continues to chase him wherever he goes. This could be one more reason Tien continues to move from place to place so frequently...

This is Vegeta when he came to Earth as Frieza's underling, equipped with a scouter.
He learned of the Dragon Ball's existence from a transmission from Raditz, and he traveled to Earth with Nappa to become immortal so he could defeat Frieza.
At this time, Vegeta cannot search for energy, since he relies on his scouter. His personality is a pure, warlike Saiyan, and he torments Goku and the others with merciless attacks. He treats his comrades the same way, and he treats the defeated Saibamen and Nappa like garbage, showing a heartless and cruel side.
After being defeated by Goku and the others, he fled Earth. He felt that he had relied too much on the scouter, and trains hard to learn the technique to search for energy. Vegeta mastered the technique for finding energy and when he fought Dodoria, he even destroyed his own scouter.

Unlike most Saiyans, Vegeta is able to retain his reason as a Great Ape, and is able to utilize his increased powers to the fullest.
Vegeta has but one weakness in this form: if his tail is cut off, he will return to normal.

After the battle on Earth, Vegeta fights against Frieza on Planet Namek. In order to defeat him, Vegeta is forced to join Goku and the Z-fighters. After using the Dragon Balls to escape Planet Namek, he began living with Bulma's family on Earth.
Vegeta's goal is to defeat Kakarot, and toward this he began to train tirelessly every day. At some point during his training, he developed a relationship with Bulma, and Trunks was born.
Once having the cruel and fierce personality of a Saiyan warrior, he has mellowed a bit since living on Earth. However, because of his pride and his shame at becoming soft, he displays a cold attitude toward others, even his son Trunks, who came from the future.
Much like Goku, he does not have much interest beyond fighting. He spends his days training, and never holds any sort of "real job". This begins to annoy Bulma to some degree, but Vegeta pays her no mind. For him, beating Goku is all that matters.

Vegeta drove himself to the breaking point, furious at his inability to surpass Kakarot no matter how fiercely he trained. This, however, proved to be the key, as it was his inner rage that allowed him to unlock his Super Saiyan abilities for the first time.
When Vegeta transforms into a Super Saiyan, his outward appearance changes and his power level rises dramatically, but his personality is also affected.
He becomes hyper-aggressive and overly self-confident when in this state.
The first time he appears in this form, he unveils his signature move the Big Bang Attack.

After being defeated by Android 18, Vegeta learned that Super Saiyans are not invincible, and he trained with Trunks in the Hyperbolic Time Chamber. It was there that he gained the ability to transform into this form.
When he transforms into Super Vegeta, his body gets bigger, but he does not have the lightning-like aura like a Super Saiyan 2.
The first time he fought in this form, he knocked down Cell with overwhelming strength. However, after hearing Cell say that if his body is complete, he could defeat Vegeta, Vegeta's Saiyan blood boiled, and he helped Cell complete his Body.

This is the somewhat older version of Vegeta that appears after the Majin Buu Saga.
After the Cell Games, he continued his brutal training regiment in the hopes of surpassing Goku, and as such he has become ever stronger.
He's still as prideful and obstinate as ever, but now that he has a family, he's not as cruel as he used to be, and at times he's even acted to protect total strangers.
Later in DragonBall GT, he changes his hairstyle and grows a mustache, suddenly taking an interest in his appearance for some reason. However, when his new daughter Bulla informed him that the mustache didn't suit him, he wound up shaving it off.
In the anime there are scenes of Vegeta driving his daughter Bulla to go shopping, which means that somewhere along the line he was able to get his driver's license.

Even after the Cell Games, Vegeta relentlessly trained to surpass Goku. However, Vegeta had a bad shock when he learned that he had not closed the gap between Goku and himself when Goku returned from the Other World.
To close the gap between him and Goku, Vegeta wanted to fight like his old self, without caring about his family or friends, so he let himself be caught in Babidi's magic and turned into Majin Vegeta.
Even under Babidi's spell, Vegeta refuses to obey Babidi's orders and he challenges Goku to a one-on-one death match.
After that, Vegeta felt responsible for reviving Majin Buu, and he challenged Buu alone . However, he could not defeat the immortal Buu and he was cornered. In the end he blew himself up to protect Trunks and the others.
It is thought that this form has the same level of strength as a Super Saiyan 2 because, like a Super Saiyan 2, he has a lightning-like aura surrounding his body.

Trunks' has become substantially more powerful thanks to his training, even discovering a transformation beyond Super Saiyan.
At the conclusion of the Cell Games, he returns to his future in the time machine and uses his new powers to make a stand against Cell and the androids.

As "Super Trunks", he fought bravely against Cell, after the monster had absorbed Android 18 and achieved his perfect form.

This is Trunks as a child. He is the son of Vegeta and Bulma.
As the heir to the Capsule Corporation fortune, Trunks was spoiled in his upbringing, and turned out to be very different from the Trunks of the future. This Trunks is brash and obstinate, and can be something of a practical joker at times. Most days, Trunks passes his time playing with Goten, who is just one year younger than he is. Whenever he can, he also trains with Vegeta.
He has a tremendous amount of potential power, and is able to transform into a Super Saiyan without really trying.
Trunks and Goten later used the Fusion Technique taught to them by Goku and Piccolo to stand against the monster Majin Buu as the world's last great hope.
It seems that Trunks does indeed love his father Vegeta, though he is often disappointed that Vegeta will not spend time with him outside training.

  • Character Introduction:
This is young Trunks (the boy raised in the present peaceful world) after transforming into a Super Saiyan.
Trunks did not train to become a Super Saiyan. Rather, he transformed spontaneously one day while training with Vegeta. This was enough to prompt a little smile from his father.
While transformed into a Super Saiyan, Trunks' already impressive power is raised even further.
He shows a strength far beyond his years, to the point that Vegeta sometimes forgets to hold back during training.
Though his outward appearance changes significantly when he transforms into a Super Saiyan, his brash and obstinate personality remains the same. Even in the heat of battle, Trunks can't resist smarting off to his opponents, no matter how fearsome they may be.
In the DBZ movies, Trunks jumps into action many time while in this form, though in the fight with Broly he had wet his pants.

Goten and Trunks later used the Fusion Technique taught to them by Goku and Piccolo to stand against the monster Majin Buu as the world's last great hope. As he got older, Goten gave up fighting and became much more interested in dating girls...

Goten's outward appearance changes significantly when he transforms into a Super Saiyan, but his personality remains the same. Even in the heat of battle, he maintains his childish innocence.

Gotenks is the super fighter created by the fusion between Goten and Trunks.
Thanks to Goku and Piccolo's exhaustive teaching, Goten and Trunks were able to learn the Fusion Technique in a short period of time, and after many failed attempts, Gotenks was finally born.
In Gotenks, only the worst traits from Goten and Trunks' personalities seemed to appear. He is selfish, rude, extremely overconfident, and he causes Piccolo endless headaches with his antics. Even so, the incredible powers Gotenks displays are more than enough to make up for his sour attitude.
At his first appearance, Gotenks immediately raced off to challenge Majin Buu. For his foolhardy efforts, he was rewarded with a sound beating.
Afterwards, he trained in the Hyperbolic Time Chamber with Piccolo, powering up even more in preparation for his rematch against Buu.

As expected, Gotenks transforms into a Super Saiyan. To Piccolo's dismay, however, it seems his annoying personality is intensified along with his powers
During his training in the Hyperbolic Time Chamber, Gotenks developed an arsenal of super attacks, which made for an interesting (and somewhat silly) battle with Majin Buu.
The energy consumed in this form greatly reduces the amount of time Gotenks can maintain the fusion. Coupled with Gotenks' tendency to become easily distracted, this can be a somewhat serious liability.
One of Gotenks' signature moves in this form is the Super Ghost Kamikaze Attack, in which he sends a host of exploding ghosts after his opponent.
  • Chi-Chi's Commentary: He's become an uncontrollable delinquent all because he merged with Trunks.

In this form, Gotenks adds a whole new set of wacky moves to his arsenal, including the "Ultra Buu-Buu Volleyball".
With his awesome fighting abilities and his numerous original finishing moves, one might think that Gotenks had become invincible. Once again, however, his great weakness is the short amount of time the Fusion can be maintained.

Gogeta's appearance has characteristics inherited from both Goku and Vegeta, but his clothes change to the costume of the Metamoran alien that taught Goku the Fusion Technique.
In addition to Goku and Vegeta's signature moves, Gogeta can also perform ta variety of original attacks, such as the "Soul Punisher", a rainbow-colored energy blast that bursts an opponent into small pieces.

Gogeta is the ultimate warrior, created by the fusion of Goku and Vegeta in their Super Saiyan 4 forms.
At Vegeta's suggestion, he and Goku unite to battle the seemingly unstoppable Omega Shenron.
Aside from his bright scarlet hair, Gogeta's characteristics are similar to that of a Super Saiyan 4: the upper half of his body is covered in red fur, and he takes on a somewhat wild demeanor. He still wears his previously seen Metamoran costume.
Having achieved his ultimate power, Gogeta is able to to brush Omega Shenron aside like an insect. He is a warrior without peer, and demonstrates this by performing his ultimate finishing move, the "Big Bang Kamehameha" (a combination of Goku and Vegeta's signature attacks).
Invincible though he seems, Gogeta has one serious weakness. He can only exist for ten minutes at a time, the duration of the Fusion Technique.

Mr. Satan is Videl's father and the reigning World Martial Arts Champion. In the year that Goku and the other Z Fighters did not participate in the World Tournament, Mr. Satan claimed the title. Unlike past champions, he lives for the worldwide fame the title has brought him.
Mr. Satan's first appearance was during the Cell Games. As the world watched, Mr. Satan recklessly stepped into the ring to challenge the monstrous Cell. Needless to say, he was easily brushed aside. In the confused aftermath of the Cell Games, however, Mr. Satan was named as the one who had defeated Cell, and the grateful people of Earth worshiped him as the World's Hero.
After that, he lived like a king in Satan City. But when Majin Buu appeared, the citizens of Earth once again called upon their hero to save the day. Reluctantly, Mr. Satan went face to face with the monster...
Though he always puts on a good show for the crowd, his fighting skills are nowhere near those of Goku and the other Z-fighters.
Nonetheless, in order to preserve his reputation, he must often place himself in harm's way, relying on clever tricks and tough talk to get him out of tough spots.
In Dragon Ball GT, Mr. Satan teams up with Buu, and as usual, continues to defend his championship title and hero status by cheating...

One can see her intellectual side as well. She was clever enough to figure out the true identity of Gohan's Great Saiyaman routine. She did this by tricking Gohan with some leading questions.
Having discovered his true identity, she demands that Gohan promise to help her practice and master flying. It is during this time of practice that she see's Gohan for who he truly is. She starts to harbor feelings of love in the rush of the Buu Saga, and many years after Buu's defeat, she marries Gohan and gives birth to a daughter, Pan.
In DragonBall GT, her personality has become calmer and she has advanced herself from fighting. However, when Super #17 appears, her martial artist blood boils, and there is a scene where she transforms into Great Saiyaman 2 to fight.

  • Voice actor: Yuko Minaguchi (JP), Kara Edwards (US)

Her appearance is almost the same, except the shape of her helmet and the color of her cape is different. Usually she spends her time with Gohan as an ordinary student, but when it is time to go into action, she hurries out of the classroom to the scene of a crime.
When she appears, she performs the same pose and superhero antics as The Great Saiyaman.

Though he possesses impressive telepathic and psychokinetic abilities, he was not the strongest of the Supreme Kais, and could not handle Majin Buu by himself.
In spite of his exalted status, the Supreme Kai can by no means claim to be omnipotent. He did not know of the Elder Kai sealed within the Z-sword, nor of the Potara earrings.

Having been summoned by Frieza to aid in the search for the Namekian Dragon Balls, Burter and his partner, Jeice, enter into battle with Goku.
Working together, Burter and Jeice are able to perform the "Purple Comet Flash", a special combination attack that makes the most of their unique abilities.
  • Chi-Chi's Commentary: He claims to be the fastest in space. Is that true...?

Jeice is a member of Frieza's elite fighting unit, the Ginyu Force.
Sporting handsome facial features with a ruddy face and long white hair, he is perhaps the most vain member of the Ginyu Force (which is saying a lot).
Having been summoned by Frieza to aid in the search for the Namekian Dragon Balls, Jeice and his partner, Burter, enter into battle with Goku.
Jeice performs a special attack, the "Crusher Ball". which he utilizes when performing the Purple Comet Flash attack with Burter.

  • Voice actor: Hideyuki Hori (JP), Brice Armstrong (US)
  • Character Introduction:
Ginyu is the captain of the Ginyu Force, Frieza's elite unit.
Irritated by Vegeta's interference, Frieza calls the Ginyu Force to Planet Namek, where Ginyu fights Goku.
Ginyu can be pretty demanding, he acts more like a commander than a cold-blooded enemy. He choreographs the Ginyu Force's original fighting poses, and wants a fair fight with Goku. However, his skill is the real thing.
According to the members of the force, Ginyu is a very quick-witted captain.
It seems he has done many Body Changes, and his original form is a mystery- there are few that know it.
  • Chi-Chi's Commentary: It looks as if he likes comic heroes. He'd better grow out of that pretty soon...

Frieza (1st Form) BT3

Frieza (1st Form)'s Japanese profile

  • Voice actor: Ryusei Nakao (JP), Linda Young (US)
  • Character Introduction:
An alien with the ability to transform, Frieza has put his fearsome powers to use as a galactic planet broker.
He has conquered many planets throughout the galaxy, employing the Saiyans, the Ginyu Force, and other powerful warriors to do his dirty work.
Frieza does what he wants with the planets he holds, turning them into villas or selling them to the highest bidder. It was he who destroyed Planet Vegeta, virtually wiping out the Saiyan race in the process.
To fulfill his wish for immortality, Frieza takes his band of henchmen to Planet Namek in search of the Dragon Balls. Once there, he is annoyed to discover that Vegeta has turned against him.
One after another, Frieza's top henchmen were defeated by Vegeta and the Z-fighters. In the end, his dreams of achieving immortality crushed, Frieza unleashed the full force of his rage upon all those who dared to defy him.
In answer to Vegeta's boast that he had become a Super Saiyan, Frieza reveals his terrible transformations, one after another.
Despite his ruthless tactics in battle, Frieza maintains a refined, almost regal, composure.
  • Chi-Chi's Commentary: It's that bad guys' boss from when Gohan and the others fought on Planet Namek... What kind of upbringing did his parents give him... It's a troublesome story!

  • Character Introduction:
This is Frieza's second form.
Thinking that his powers had become equal to Frieza's, Vegeta made the mistake of taunting the tyrant, prompting his transformation into this form.
In his second transformed state, Frieza's appearance is similar to that of his father, King Cold. However, the refinement he displayed in his previous form is gone, replaced by a wild, almost blood-thirsty attitude.
Frieza fights Piccolo while in this form, after Piccolo had powered up by fusing with Nail.
  • Chi-Chi's Commentary: He's called Frieza, and he's transformed many times! I wonder if everyone in his family transforms...?

  • Character Introduction:
This is Frieza's third form.
After Piccolo demonstrated that his powers were an even match for Frieza's second form, Frieza transformed once again in order to instill terror in the Namek warrior's heart.
Though this is an even more hideous form than his second, in spite of appearances, Frieza's cool demeanor returns. This sharp contrast only serves to intensify the eeriness of this form.
In his third form, Frieza's strength and speed increase dramatically, and he is able to make quick work of the powered-up Piccolo.

Frieza takes this form, saying that his enemies might know the true meaning of terror before they die.
In contrast to his previous monstrous transformations, Frieza takes on a smaller, sleeker shape in this form. Despite his reduced size, however, his power level rises to unimaginable levels, proving his claims of being the most powerful fighter in the universe.
After his ultimate defeat at the hands of the Super Saiyans, he falls into the depths of Other World. Even so, his desire for revenge lives on...

Having achieved this form, Frieza's strength and speed equal that of Super Saiyan Goku, but at a great price. Frieza's energy slowly diminishes as a result of drawing out all of his power, and he cannot endure a prolonged battle.
Realizing this, Frieza fires a massive energy blast at Planet Namek's core, hoping to destroy the planet and Goku along with it.

While not in the anime, could there be some kind of power up that accompanies Frieza's revival?
Frieza goes to Earth with King Cold to get revenge on Goku and to destroy the Saiyans, but Trunks, a boy from the future, stands in their way.
It can be guessed that in this form, Frieza's special moves and fighting style are about the same as when he was in his final form.
  • Chi-Chi's Commentary: It's because of these guys coming to Earth that Gohan skipped studying! They're a bad bunch! Just when I thought that it was peaceful and Gohan could concentrate on school.

King Cold[]

King cold

King Cold's profile

  • Voice actor: Daisuke Gori (JP), Brad Jackson (US)
  • Character Introduction:
This is Frieza and Cooler's father, the leader of the strongest race in space.
He invades Earth with Mecha Frieza, but Trunks, who came from the future, defeats Frieza and all of the underlings in an instant. King Cold thought he had no chance of winning in a fair fight, so he cleverly talked Trunks into letting him borrow his sword, and then he suddenly attacked. However, Trunks stopped it with his bare hands and shot an energy blast.
In the manga, King Cold was erased in an instant by the energy blast, but in the anime, after being shot there is a pitiful scene where he desperately pleads for his life.
Officially, King Cold's strength is greater than that of Frieza and Cooler's, but because of the impression from the show, this pitiful image follows his around.
  • Chi-Chi's Commentary: It's that Frieza's dad.... I wonder if his mother has the same face.

Android 16 BT3

Android #16's Japanese profile

  • Voice actor: Hikaru Midorikawa (JP), Jeremy Inman (US)

Android #16 was created Dr. Gero.
Android #16 is 100% mechanical, and his limitless power supply gives him the same fighting strength as first-form Cell. However, Android #16 loves nature and has a gentle disposition, making him reluctant to fight. Thus, Dr. Gero sealed him away as a defective product.
After being revived by Androids #17 and #18, Android #16 accompanies them on their search for Goku.
But even as the other androids launch into battle, Android #16 can often be found sitting quietly on the sidelines, playing with the birds. In times of great need, however, such as when Cell threatened to absorb Androids #17 and #18, Android #16 will fight to protect the world that he loves.
  • Chi-Chi's Commentary: It's the android after Goku's life... It looks like Goku has a similar air as 8.

Created primarily to kill Goku, Androids #17 and #18 are also the keys necessary to making Cell complete.
He was formerly a delinquent boy, but he was taken against his will and reconstructed into an android along with Android #18. Naturally, he hates Dr. Gero, and after being activated in the lab, he wasted no time in taking his revenge.
With his limitless power supply, Android #17 is capable of a variety of energy attacks. He can also use his specialty, a powerful barrier, to deflect attacks from his opponents but he loves gving his sister a hard time.

Android 18 BT3

Android #18's Japanese profile

  • Voice actor: Miki Ito (JP), Meredith McCoy (US)
  • Character Introduction:
Android #18 was created Dr. Gero.
She is the only female type among the androids, but she displays strength that will overpower even a Super Saiyan opponent. Thanks to a built-in energy core, no matter how long she fights, she will not become tired.
Originally, she was just a delinquent girl, but because she was kidnapped and reconstructed into an android by Dr. Gero, she hates him and will not follow orders. She was sealed in the lab because of this, but when Dr. Gero was in trouble, he unsealed and rebooted her.
After the Cell Games, she marries Krillin, who in the beginning, she had absolutely nothing to do with, and has a daughter named Marron.
In DragonBall GT, she fights with Goku against Super Android#17[sic] to get revenge for Krillin.
  • Chi-Chi's Commentary: She was Goku's enemy a long time ago, but now she's Krillin's wife. I'm a little jealous because she doesn't age...

Android #19[]

Android 19 BT3

Android #19's Japanese profile

  • Voice actor: Yukitoshi Hori (JP), Phillip Wilburn (US)
  • Character Introduction:
Android #19 was created Dr. Gero.
Three years after Trunks returned to the future, Android #19 appeared along with Android #20 (Dr. Gero) and fought Goku, who was weakened by a heart virus.
Of Dr. Gero's android creations, it could be said that Android #19 is his first complete success. However, since he must rely on energy absorption to recharge his power, his fighting strength is limited compared to the other androids.
As it was Android #19 who oversaw Dr. Gero's reconstruction into an android, his intelligence level is accordingly very high.
In the Trunks' future world, the existence of Android #19 was never confirmed.
  • Chi-Chi's Commentary: His face is like a marshmallow... He absorbs energy, I hear...

Dr. Gero's Japanese profile

  • Voice actor: Koji Yada (JP), Kent Williams (US)
  • Character Introduction:
This is the mad scientist Dr. Gero, after turning himself into an android.
Long ago, Dr. Gero served as the Red Ribbon Army's chief weapons expert. But after the army's commapse, hungry for revenge, he devoted himself to the creation of androids strong enough to defeat Goku.
Three years after Trunks returned to the future, Android #20 appeared with Android #19. After their initial attack on the city, Androids #19 and #20 caught Yamcha by surprise, nearly killing the Z fighter.
Even after Android #20 was cast into the depths of Other World, his thirst for revenge lived on. In Dragon Ball GT, he and Dr. Myuu created a new Android #17. This new Android #17 then fused with the old one, giving rise to Super #17, a virtually invincible android created for the sole purpose of destroying Goku.
  • Chi-Chi's Commentary: It seems a long time ago he was a great scientist, like Bulma's father.

Cell[]

Imperfect Form[]

ImperfectCell BT3

Imperfect Cell's Japanese profile

  • Voice actor: Norio Wakamoto (JP), Dameon Clarke (US)
  • Character Introduction:
This is Dr. Gero's ultimate creation.
When Cell was first awakened in his time line, both Android 17 and Android 18 were not present, he kills Future Trunks and steals his time machine, going back in time to the date set by Future Trunks in the "standard" time line when both Androids were still functional, sometime around four years prior to the Androids arrival. In order to fit into the machine, Cell had to revert back to an egg.
Once in the past, he hid underground for four years until he could grow back to his adult, humanoid self. After emerging in his imperfect form, his first actions were to exterminate several towns, absorbing the human inhabitants within. After completing his feeding on the humans in Ginger Town.
He had almost absorbed him when Android #16 got involved. After a struggle where it is revealed that Cell is unable to absorb #16, #16 had injured Cell, but before he could finish him off, #17 interrupted and remarked that the three of them were unbeatable. Cell uses this opportunity to burst out of the ground directly behind #17 and quickly absorbed him, evolving into Semi-Perfect Cell.
  • Chi-Chi's Commentary: He's the android called Cell that Gohan beat to a pulp...

Semi-Perfect Form[]

SemiPerfectCell BT3

Semi-Perfect Cell's Japanese profile

  • Voice actor: Norio Wakamoto (JP), Dameon Clarke (US)
  • Character Introduction:
This is Cell's newest form after absorbing Android 17.
Cell turned to Android 18, but she threatened to self destruct before joining him if he approached, which would leave him unable to attain his complete form. In an attempt to pacify her, he pretended to be Android 17 by mimicking his voice (a trait probably gained from his absorption) and told her how wonderful it was to be part of Cell and fulfilling "the great" Dr. Gero's vision.
He was ready and used the Solar Flare to temporarily blind everyone long enough for him to absorb Android 18. Cell then put up an impenetrable barrier while he evolved yet again, this time to Perfect Cell.
  • Chi-Chi's Commentary: This is the form he changed into when he ate 17.
Special Techniques

Perfect Form[]

PerfectCell BT3

Perfect Cell's Japanese profile

  • Voice actor: Norio Wakamoto (JP), Dameon Clarke (US)
  • Character Introduction:
Cell achieved this form after absorbing Androids 17 and 18.
Cell becomes significantly more arrogant in this form due to his increase in speed and power. He also gains Frieza's polite mannerisms (though without the snide sarcasm), Vegeta's self-confidence, and Goku's laid back nature and love of fighting.
Making the same mistake Future Trunks made earlier, he began a USS-like transformation that reduced his speed drastically, making him unable to hit Gohan. After Gohan had enough of dodging Cell's punches, he kicked Cell in the face and then in the stomach. The kick to the stomach was hard enough to make Cell regurgitate Android 18, which made him go back to his Semi-Perfect form.
  • Chi-Chi's Commentary: And this is Cell when he ate 18.

Super Perfect Form[]

Cell perfect

Super Perfect Cell's Japanese profile

  • Voice actor: Norio Wakamoto (JP), Dameon Clarke (US)
  • Character Introduction:
This is Cell's ultimate form, after surviving his self-destruction took the lives of Goku, King Kai, and his pets but he had to regenerate.
In his most powerful state, Cell appears no different from his Perfect state, though his ego increases due to him gaining a huge amount of power and he becomes notably more deranged. Cell's power takes a big jump from his Perfect stage, and it gets to the point that he has surges of blue electricity in his aura, much like a Super Saiyan 2, suggesting that Cell's power most likely approaches or even matches that of a Super Saiyan 2.
Using Instant Transmission (acquired from Goku) Cell returns to Earth and kills Future Trunks with the Full Power Death Beam. Gohan desperately engages Cell in a Kamehameha wave struggle at the behest of the late Goku. Cell gains the upper hand several times, nearly overwhelming the exhausted Gohan nonchalantly, but as he is about to finish off Gohan, Vegeta distracts Cell with a surprise blast to the side of his head. With Cell caught momentarily off guard, Gohan draws out all of his reserves to obliterate Cell completely.
  • Chi-Chi's Commentary: I don't know what he means by perfect, but it looks like he's gotten stronger.

In spite of their diminutive size and almost "cute" appearance, the Cell Juniors are no less lethal. Each one is born with the full powers of Perfect Cell himself.
In an attempt to draw out Gohan's anger, the Cell Juniors toyed with the Z-Fighters, tormenting them with their superior strength.

Turles Budokai Tenkaichi 3

Turles Japenese profile

  • Voice actor: Masako Nozawa (JP), Chris Patton (US)
  • Character Introduction:
Turles is a low-class Saiyan warrior and former servant of Frieza. He leads a small group of renegade warriors across the universe on a spree of destruction.
Whenever they attack a planet, they plant the seed of the Tree of Might, then eat its fruit to gain more power. Ultimately, Turles hopes to amass enough power to conquer the universe.
Having discovered that the environment on earth was suitable for cultivating the Tree of Might, he and his henchman invaded the planet. Upon their arrival, Goku and the Z-fighters stood ready to meet them, and a battle ensued.
Turles may look strikingly similar to Goku, but his personality is the exact opposite. He is the very definition of evil.
When in trouble, he prefers to hide until he can eat more of the tree's fruit and power up. Also, he can create an "artificial moon" that allows him to transform into a giant ape at any time.
  • Chi-Chi's Commentary: He looks like Goku, but he's actually that nasty Saiyan who attacked Earth.

It is difficult to distinguish the Saiyan apes from one another, but the color of their coats can help tell them apart.
In the anime and manga, Turles never transforms into a giant ape; this version of the character is an original creation for the video game.

This was not mentioned in the anime, but he and Jeice came from the same star system, and he and Ginyu fought over the position of leader of the Armored Force.

He fused with the Big Gete Star's main computer, and his mind became the planet's core. His physical body was then recreated as "Meta-Cooler".
His power is comparable to a Super Saiyan, and his automatic repair capabilities allow him to recover from each new injury stronger than ever. Even for the combined Super Saiyan strength of Goku and Vegeta, Meta-Cooler proved to be a difficult opponent.
His fighting style hasn't changed much, but he has added the Instant Transmission technique to his arsenal, as well as a few other surprises.
Additionally, Big Gete Star has mass-produced an army of Meta-Cooler bodies, all of which can be controlled from the planet's central core.

Slug is an ancient Namek of extraordinary power, one of the few remaining "Super Nameks" of legend.

She always plays around innocently with Gatchan, but her walking speed surpasses Mach 1, and she has enough power to destroy the Earth. Even just playing she can do terrible damage.
Her speciality is Arale Punch, Arale Kick and Cannon. Ordinarily her inventor Senbei would forbid "playing" because it was too dangerous.

When Goku and Pikkon learned of the unfolding disaster, they raced to the scene to face Janemba.

  • Voice Actor: Shin Aomori (JP), Robert McCollum (US)
  • Character Introduction:
Hirudegarn is the beast that once rampaged across the planet Konats.
It was once a mere statue of a demon that watched over the planet, but an evil wizard named Hoi used his magic to turn it into the beast, Hirudegarn.
Thanks to the hero Tapion, Hirudegarn was split into two parts, and the halves were sealed inside the bodies of Tapion and his brother.
Tapion was also sealed inside a music box, but Hoi was able to find it, and on Earth he brought back the beast.
Hirudegarn is every bit as strong as he appears, and has the ability to transform into a mist, making him invulnerable to most attacks.
He does have one weakness: the sound of the legendary flute of Konats can seal him away.
  • Chi-Chi's commentary: Such gigantic monsters do exist.

IIshenron

Syn Shenron's Japanese profile

  • Voice Actor: Hidekatsu Shibata (JP), Bob Carter (US)
  • Character Introdution:
Syn Shenron is the strongest of the evil dragons born from the Dragon Balls.
As the Dragon Balls are used to grant wishes, their positive energy is drained and their negative energy accumulates. For this reason, the Dragon Balls should really only be used once every century.
The Z-fighters, however, have used the power of the Dragon Balls repeatedly. An excessive amount of negative energy has accrued within the Dragon Balls, giving rise to seven evil dragons.
Each of the seven evil dragons has his own special powers, but Syn Shenron is the most powerful of them all, with enough negative energy to destroy the entire galaxy.
Syn Shenron is powerful enough to hold his own against Super Saiyan 4 Goku, and with his powers of regeneration in addition to his massive strength, he is clearly the single most powerful enemy the Z-fighters have ever faced.
  • Chi-Chi's commentary: He's the boss of the seven Shadow Dragons. Tough looking.

He is also different from the other Shadow Dragons. He hates cowardice, and his principles dictate a fair fight. Via fighting, he and Goku began to trust each other. In the fight with Omega Shenron, Nuova Shenron cooperates and fights along with Goku.
  • Chi-Chi's commentary: That's one of the Shadow Dragons brought to life by using the Dragon Balls too much...

Baby Vegeta BT3 Profile

Baby Vegeta's Japanese profile

  • Voice Actor: Yusuke Numata (JP), Mike McFarland (US)
  • Character Introduction:
This is Vegeta immediately after Baby takes over his body.
Goku and the other had stopped Baby once, but Baby anticipates Goku and the others and he takes over Gohan and Goten's body when he arrives on Earth. In the end he was successful in taking over Vegeta's body.
His appearance is close to Vegeta's. His hair is white and there are lines on his face and eyes, but the rest is how Vegeta looks normally.
Baby's true identity is a parasitic life form created by the Tuffles, who were destroyed by the Saiyans. He even has some of the Tuffle King's genetics in him.
For these reasons Baby has two ambitions; to have his revenge against the Saiyans, and to lay his eggs all over the galaxy and create a new Tuffle race.
He has an extremely egotistical personality, and the humans he takes over are used until they die.

Although he is incredibly selfish and cruel, Baby is also tremendously prideful and prefers to fight one-on-one. This may be the influence of the Tuffle king's DNA within him...

Unlike a typical Saiyan warrior, Baby is able to retain his intelligence while in this form, enabling him to use his increased power to its fullest potential.

In addition to Pilaf's custom robot, there are two others made for his loyal subjects Mai and Shu. When all three of these machines combine, they form an even more assault robot.

However, it was no match for Goku, and with one Kamehameha it was almost destroyed.
In Dragon Ball GT, Pilaf, Shu, and Mai, all of them now older, make an appearance. Their plan was to use the Dragon Balls stored at Kami's Lookout to take over the world, but they accidently wished for Goku to become a child.

Majin Buu[]

Boo good-1-

Majin Buu's Japanese profile

  • Voice Actor: Kozo Shioya (JP), Josh Martin (US)
  • Character Introduction:
Buu is a terrifying monster revived by the wizard Babidi.
The original, pure evil Majin Buu was created by Babidi's father Bibidi. However, Buu was so evil that he would not follow Bibidi's orders, and rampaged out of control. The South Supreme Kai and the Grand Kai were absorbed by this evil Buu, and he transformed into the fat, child-like Majin Buu. Thanks to the influence of the Kais, Buu's evil was greatly diminished, and he was able to be controlled to a certain extent.
Even so, Buu ultimately proved to be more than Bibidi could manage, and the wizard was forced to seal him away. Hundreds of years later, however, Babidi broke the seal and set Buu free to rampage once again.
After the pure evil Majin Buu was destroyed, Hercule befriended the good Buu and taught him the basics of right and wrong. Buu even promised that he would not kill people ever again. Buu changed his name to Mr. Buu and went on to live a comfortable life at Hercule's house.
In Dragon Ball GT, Buu fights against Baby to protect Hercule and Uub.
  • Chi-Chi's commentary: Before, he was scary. Now, he's freeloading at Hercule's place.

This Buu is skinny and rather sickly looking, but he is brutal and ruthless, having retained most of the good Buu's powers.
The techniques he uses are not that much different from the good Buu's, but his movements can be much trickier.
  • Chi-Chi's commentary: This looks like the form Majin Buu took when his heart was evil... Sure looks like it.

  • Character Introduction:
This is the form that the pure evil Majin Buu takes after absorbing the good Buu.
Compared to the good Majin Buu, this Buu is far less intelligent, but his brutal nature makes him far more dangerous.
Unlike the previous forms of Majin Buu, this Buu has the ability to sense energy. He follows one such energy source to Kami's Lookout, where a fierce battle with Gotenks unfolds.
Though he is not very intelligent, he hates to lose more than anything else, and will use any means necessary to win against a stronger opponent.
Interestingly enough, this is the form that the original Kid Buu took after absorbing the South Supreme Kai, who was the strongest and burliest of the Kais.
  • Chi-Chi's commentary: He looks bad, and he was.

Pressured by Gohan's attacks, Buu absorbs Gotenks and Piccolo to power up.
After his transformation, Buu can draw upon Gotenks' power and Piccolo's intellect, making him stronger and much more intelligent than in the past.
This form has one weak point: when Gotenks' fusion ends, Buu loses some of his power.
  • Chi-Chi's commentary: This is the form he morphed into when he ate my Goten and Trunks... Oh, he even ate Piccolo...

Kid Buu[]

Kid Buu Tenkaichi 3

Kid Buu's Japanese profile

  • Voice Actor: Kozo Shioya (JP), Josh Martin (US)
  • Character Introduction:
This is Kid Buu, the original creation of the wizard Bibidi and the purest form of Majin Buu.
Majin Buu returned to his original form after Goku and Vegeta penetrated his body and rescued all the people he had absorbed.
This Buu is so brutal and powerful that even his creator Bibidi could not control him. Upon returning to this form, Buu wastes no time before destroying the Earth.
Sensing Goku and Vegeta's energy, Buu next appeared on the Supreme Kai's planet, where the battle to decide the fate of the universe unfolded.
With his power of regeneration and his ability to use Instant Transmission, there is little to stop Buu from rampaging throughout the universe. If left unchecked, Buu will not stop untill all of existence is destroyed.
  • Chi-Chi's commentary: His body is small, but I hear he's strong.

Super Android 17

Super 17's Japanese profile

  • Voice Actor: Shigeru Nakahara (JP), Chuck Huber (US)
  • Character Introduction:
This is the ultimate android formed by the fusion of the two Android #17's.
After his defeat, the mad scientist Dr. Gero fell to the depths of Other World. There, he teamed up with Dr. Myuu to create a new Android #17, intended to fuse with the Android #17 still on Earth.
The result of the fusion is the virtually indestructible Super #17. With his energy absorption system, he is able to absorb any energy-based attack, including Goku's 10x Kamehameha.
In this form, Android #17 has become a ruthless killing machine, and all aspects of his original personality are lost. Nonetheless, he hesitated before attacking Android #18, which may mean he retains at least a small portion of his memories.
While absorbing energy, he must dedicate himself exclusively to the task, leaving him defenseless for a short time. This is his only weak point.
  • Chi-Chi's commentary: This is the 17 you know merged with some other 17 or something, I think.

A long time ago, Bojack rampaged the four courners of the galaxy with his four underlings, Kogu, Bido, Zangya and Bujin. The King Kais of East, West, South and North combined their powers and sealed Bojack.
However, in the Cell Games, the King Kai of the North died with Goku and the seal was broken and Bojack was revived.
The revived Bojack sets out again to conquer the galaxy, starting with Earth. Bojack appears with his underlings at the intergalactic Martial Arts Tournament, and the battle grows increasingly fierce for Gohan and the others as they try to stop Bojack and his gang from conquering Earth.
Even in a normal situation Bojack has a lot of strength, but he can transform even further. When fighting, he can handle his four underlings like his own limbs, but when he is in trouble, his heartless side is shown, and he would use his own subordinate as a shield.
  • Chi-Chi's commentary: He's the leader of the Galaxy Soldiers. How much evil will he do before he's satisfied?

Along wih his underlings, Bojack launches a brutal assault on Gohan, and for a time, there seems little hope for Gohan's survival.

He is extremely evil, and has a sly personality. He uses his magic to control the people he posesses[Sic] to fulfill his ambition.
He has a cruel and cunning side as well. He destroyed a town and killed people to lure out Piccolo, Goten and Trunks.
However, Babidi's selfish and overbearing personality becomes his ruin, and in the end he is betrayed and killed by Majin Buu.
He does not have that much strength, however the more evil the person is, the easier it is for Babidi to cast a spell on them, and it is because of this he brainwashed prideful men like Dabura and Vegeta.

After his death at the hands of Majin Buu, he was naturally cast into the bowels of Other World, but he seemed so comfortable there, King Yemma decided to send him to heaven instead.

Also, because King Vegeta saw the child Broly's tremendous power as a threat, he ordered Broly's father to kill him, which caused Broly to resent the royal family as well.
Because Broly's sheer destructive power and brutal nature were too dangerous, his father Paragas attached a circlet to his head that allowed him to control his son. This has made the teenage Broly quiet and expressionless.
