"See you in Hell, Recoome!"
— "Recoome Unleashed"

Final Crash[3] (ファイナルクラッシュ Fainaru Kurasshu) is an Energy Wave used by Vegeta.

Overview[]

First, Vegeta draws his hands to his sides and charges two whitish-blue energy spheres with streaks of electricity. Then, he brings his hands together with fingers spread apart and fires a massive energy wave at the opponent, inflicting a large amount of damage.

Vegeta firing the Final Crash

Vegeta uses this attack during his battle against Recoome on Namek. As the battle begins, Vegeta powers up and furiously attacks the surprised Recoome, throwing him far away into a mountain. Vegeta then charges and fires the Final Crash against Recoome, creating a huge explosion. It appears that Vegeta kills Recoome, but as the smoke clears, Recoome emerges from the blast unharmed, only receiving a few cuts (though his Battle Armor is destroyed), much to the shock of Vegeta, Gohan, and Krillin.[4]

In the Cell Saga, Vegeta uses a far more powerful yellow colored energy beam very similar to the Final Crash, called Final Flash, on both Cell and a Cell Jr.

After Goku and Xeno Trunks destroy Majin Ozotto's Ginyu and Guldo clones with energy blasts, Vegeta notices the blasts hurtling towards him and the Jeice and Burter clones and warps away to grab them, converting them into a Final Crash as he pivots back to obliterate Jeice and Burter with the move.[5]

Video Game Appearances[]

In Super Saiya Densetsu, it is named Powerful Energy Wave (強力エネルギー波).

In Plan to Eradicate the Saiyans, it is named Giga Blaster (ギガブラスター).

In Budokai, Final Crash appears in a cutscene.

In Supersonic Warriors, it is named Final Crash where it is one of Vegeta's Super Attacks in his base form. It appears as a whitish-yellow energy blast instead of a wave.

In Kakarot, Final Crash appears in a cutscene, though colored whitish yellow.

Trivia[]

  • Vegeta's Final Crash can be viewed as a precursor to his Final Flash, as both attacks are performed in a similar fashion.
