[[Category:{{{1}}}|Bardock again...]]

Last time I started a topic on how Bardocks story (when he becomes a Super Saiyan) doesn't make much sense. My good friend, PrinceTrunks, helped me understand it a bit, but, I still have a problem with it. Ok, so we all know that time MUST start from a point. Two different points in time can't start at the same time. One must start somewhere and the other follow (likely the future following the past, since time flows forward). Heres my point. If Bardock first existed on Original Planet Plant than he shouldn't have known Freeza, but he recognized Chilled as a relation to Freeza. If Bardock first existed as the father of Goku, than Freeza should not know about the SSJ legend, seeing as how Chilled was the one who past it on to his descendants. PrinceTrunks told me that Bardock first became a SSJ, and than followed him fathering Raditz and Goku. This, however, wouldn't make sense given the point I just made above. Someone (yes, you PrinceTrunks lol) help me out here. SuperGogeta91 (talk) 23:56, September 21, 2012 (UTC)

Examples that you may or may not understand[]

I don't know if you watch Family Guy or not, but you really don't need to to understand this.

There was one episode where the main character creates the universe, when that character was confronted with a similar question as to how he was born in the universe he himself created it. He simply replied that the universe created him so that he could do the same for the universe in an endless loop.

Bardock was born among the Saiyans to know Frieza and to be sent back to the start in order to start the legend. This would presumably continue for all eternity. But still, this is non-canon. Hell, this story could have worked without bardock, and it isn't meant to be taken as the definitive history.

^Ahh...okay it kind of helped. I'm very stubborn when it comes to this type of topic, so I don't think ignoring it would help lol. Thanks for the answer though. SuperGogeta91 (talk) 00:09, September 22, 2012 (UTC)

My (probably dodgy) explainations[]

Explaination 1: Moving along the usual straight line of time, Bardock was blasted out, which created an arc, which then veered backwards to the time of Chilled. So Bardock retained his memories and experiences with Frieza

Explaination 2: Alternate timeline, like Future Trunks'. And the real first Super Saiyan could have just been another Saiyan.

Now my real question is, if no one had heard of a Saiyan before (Unless they were some underground race that hadn't gained much strength yet), how did he start the Saiyan Race by himself? My explanation[]

Bardock confronts Frieza on Vegeta and gets blown away by his attack. Instead of being destroyed, he is somehow sent back in time to Planet Plant where he faces Chilled and becomes a super saiyan, the super saiyan of legend, later destroying himself (offscreen) with his own power. Time passes until we again reach the birth of Bardock and his subsequent defeat by Frieza, and the cycle continues. It is interesting to note that this is different from other instances of DBZ time travel, in that Bardock seems to travel backwards in his own timeline. On the other hand, Future Trunks travels back and ends up in a completely different time line. As for Bardock fathering the Saiyan race, it's an interesting thought, but not necessary. They could have just evolved on their own either before or after Bardock's SSJ transformation without his involvement (probably the former). Janemba4eva (talk) 00:54, September 22, 2012 (UTC)
