Bardock was mentioned to have a power level of around 10,000 by the doctors treating him. Given the information that SS makes a Saiyan 50x powerful than normal, would it have been enough to defeat Frieza? His power level in form 1 was 530,000 in the Frieza Saga. However, it is unknown if his power was that high in the Bardock special. If Bardock went SS his power level would be around 500,000. He had the rage, and the inspiration needed to make the transformation to SS. However, it is said that the user has to be at a certain power level in order to complete the transformation. So even if he did transform, do you think that it would have been enough? It is obvious that he could have killed all of the henchmen surrounding the ship. Then forget about Cooler watching the battle from his ship in space. Although, I do not believe that he would have been the first to lend a helping hand in the fight. He would have been surprised that a monkey had finally ascended. If Bardock had defeat 1st form Frieza, then he may have stepped in to honor his family name. He could have left the scene to report this development to his father, but these are just possibilities. Even if Cooler did step in, his transformation (5th form) or even his 4th form (the current one that he was in) could have been more than enough to beat Bardock. If Frieza did get in a fight with Bardock, he may have transformed. Given Bardock’s rage he would have finished Frieza off as quickly as he could. This way Frieza would not have been able to transform at all. He would have been so shocked that he would have not thought to appeal to Bardock’s thirst for a challenge. At that point, I would not have been surprised if Bardock toned him out. He was in no way going to show Frieza any mercy after what he did to him and his crew. - I don't think Bardock would of won. Like you said, he would only be around 500,000 which is still weaker than Freeza's first form. And we have seen that if Freeza is scared he uses more power to try to kill his enemies. So I don't think he would of stood a chance.Kibafool 18:22, December 7, 2009 (UTC)
You made a good point on my subject. When he went 2nd form, it was only because Vegeta taunted him (which was pretty dumb). His 3rd from was because Piccolo was a threat, but the way he talks it was just to show Piccolo that he can transform. Then after Gohan made an amazing comeback, he decided to go 4th form on the group. After SS Goku arrived, he went 100% even though it was only the full power of his 4th form. Gohan returned so he reverted from his 100% form to combat the little Saiyan/Human. Then he went back to 100% in order to finish him off (like he did his father). So really his own fear would prompt him to transform, and that is what would have given him an edge in a battle against Bardock. Even during the fight on Namek, he would have gone to 2nd form against Vegeta/Krillin/Gohan if he felt he needed to on his own. Vegeta mentioned that all of their fighting powers were increasing, and their efforts may have made him transform.Vegetaisthebest 20:55, December 7, 2009 (UTC)

He couldn't because the Super Saiyan transformation only multiplies power 50X. Bardock's power level is 10,000. 50 X 10,000 would be 500,000. Even in his first form, Frieza's power level is 530,000, meaning Bardock would be beaten by great margin even if Frieza didn't transform.

When Bardock turned Super Saiyan, his power level wasn't 10,000. This was when he fought Frieza.
Then he was hit by the Supernova and passed out completely. Then he was healed by that Plant guy and received a Zenkai. So he was likely on par with Frieza saga Super Saiyan Goku.
And even if Chilled transformed, probably he would still die in his hands.

yes because all super saiyans could kill frieza even kid trunks and all normal moves a saiyan does while in base form are made about 1000x stronger and bardock could've killed frieza if he caught him by surprise also frieza at 100 percent max would still die because it's to much for him to handle and he'd need 100% max to even begin to think about killing a super saiyan and plus a super saiyan's power in increased x500 so bardock whould have a power lvl of about 500,0000 which is enough to kill frieza in his 1st and second form and maybe 3rd

if we are talking about freizas final form and 100% then no. Any of his forms below though, he could beat.
his power level when he confronted freiza was 10,000. But when those people healed him while he was in the past his zenkai gave him a boost. Lets say his power level got up to about 50,000. super saiyan multiplier is x50.
50,000 x 50 = 2,500,000.

SSJ3Gogeta, the power level of Frieza Final Form is 120,000,000 officially. 15 millions/12 millions it's a translation error. In the Daizenshuu says.
And Bardock have a Zenkai. And remember that Goku had a Zenkai 33x Saga Frieza and Vegeta had a zenkai was about 15x. Goku had 90,000 of power, and his zenkai was 33x, giving you 3,000,000. Vegeta had 35,000, and its zenkai was 15x, giving it about 500,000 / 520,000 power.
And we know that Bardock was hit by a SUPERNOVA it should have about 600,000 / 700,000 (perhaps 750,000) of power, which was 60 / 70x his power. And he still survived, probably hundreds of injuries, but survived.
Imagine your power? I kick that Bardock could go up to 100,000 in his Zenkai, and 100.000x50 - 5,000,000. It is a fact confirmed that Zenkai's can be more than 2x.
It is highly unlikely that Bardock's Zenkai was 2x, for he was almost dead after the Supernova. I say that your Zenkai was about 10x. And you can say it's impossible, but Goku had a Zenkai 33x, Bardock could well have a zenkai 10x / 20x. Vegeta was beaten by Recoome, which has a totally negligible power compared to Supernova that Freeza launched in Planet Bejita.
Therefore, Bardock could have a zenkai 10x, 20x, 30x, or unlikely 2x. But he still lost to Frieza Final Form 50%.

1)He got a zenkai after healing from the death ball freiza shot at him
2)He also got a zenkai after the fight with chilled
3)Everytime a saiyan goes ssj the seem to heal from every attack they took up until then as seen against frieza, chilled,cooler perfect cell when gohan went ssj 2
4)Also ssj bardock looks like ssj goku so freiza would be frozen with fear and wouldn't attack out of fear
2) He didn't get zenai after fighting Chilled. There was no "near death experience" during this fight. Zenkai is about getting hurt really bad and thn healing. We only see Bardock being healed only once, after he is moved back in time, he gets there his first and only zenaki.
3) They don't heal, they just get enormous Ki boost. I think it's like adrenaline. They don't foucs on pain, they are only enraged, furious. They get their energy back. Nothing more. Oko500 (talk) 15:29, December 11, 2012 (UTC)

Bardock would've been unable to beat Frieza. I believe Akira Toriyama said that a Saiyan must have a power level of 100,000 to transform into a Super Saiyan, and even with a 50 times multiplier, Bardock still only reaches 5,000,000. His power level would need to be at 2,400,000 in his base form to amass a power level of 120,000,000, Frieza's 100% power.

Since Bardock's base was implied to be 9,500 to 10,000 (after the zenkai and health treatment due to the attack on his group),It would be certain that Bardock would have been demolished against First Form Frieza,but not without a fight. Since the Super Saiyan form multiplies the users base by 50x (10,000 x 50 = 500,000),Bardock would have put up a rather good fight against Frieza. But,let's say his Final Spirit Cannon overwhelms the surprised Frieza,who was shocked at the saiyans transformation,maybe,he would have won. Also,the Bardock special isnt even canon! Bardock: Father Of Goku isnt considered to be Canon puts up a good point,but the only true Special that features Bardock and is in fact Canon,is Dragonball Minus,which was written by Akira Toriyama.
