[[Category:{{{1}}}|How would you have ended DBZ?]]

I'm really curious to know. How would you have ended DBZ? Personally, I thought that the Majin Buu Saga was really boring until the end and really hard to get into. I'm watching GT at the moment and it's almost become a chore to do. The ending to DBZ was a bit of a wash out and was there to make an opening for GT which isn't very good. I think that it should have ended at the end of the Cell Games because that was so brilliant. The last episode should have been when Trunks had gone back to his timeline and defeated the Androids and Cell. Then that would have closed the show off brilliantly and left us without talking Vegito sweets and rubbish fussion dances.

Jparks ending

I wouldve preferred it if Vegetas sacrifice was what killed Buu. This wouldve made it so that the fusion stuff wasnt necessary and the ss3 wouldnt have been made. After buu dies Trunks and Goten really learn that they need to train if they want to protect the earth. Gohan Goku and Vegeta stay dead. The series ends with Goten and Trunks as the new protectors of earth.

Buu saga

Id end it at the Buu saga but instead, Gohan kills kid buu with the spirit bomb.

I would never end it....

Cell Games

I would have made Cell get beaten up alot more than what he was before reverting to 2nd form ( only 2 eps), and the ending of the show at cell games would have been brilliant.

The Cell games was the perfect place to end the series because Goku the protagonist sacrifices himself to save the everyone and Gohan rises to succeed his father as the new hero of earth so symbolic if you ask me.

New saga!

i think it wouldve been cool if there was a new saga where some how frieza cell and buu all came back, then got their hands on some potara earrings, then frieza and cell would merge, then give an earring to buu and merge him in as well, creating the ultimate baddie named Friezelluu or somethin. That would be an epic battle

The best ending from one who loves everything that was done

I think that it absolutley Should Not end at the cell games (Imagine what it would be like without the filler between the cell games and buu saga, Hello, videl and gohan) , but buu should not be able to regenerate. I think it would end perfectly after Vegeta sacraficed himself (he's not even important during the beginning of gt, just have him wished back when he is needed) and end dbz with the last couple of episodes still showing goku (could be wished back during the gap) and uub, leaving all the extra junk out.

P.S. I dont like the end how buu regenerated after every attack but not the spirit bomb, that was a ??? moment

I'm back baby. I would never have ended DB. GT wasn't as great/good as DB or DBZ, but its part of the series what can you do. Its already been engraved into people's hearts and minds. Leave well enough alone, right? The only reason DB ever ended at any point, manga/anime/movies, was because Akira Toriyama couldn't continue. It was getting too difficult on him in his old age. Mangakas don't neccessarily need to retire until they die. Akira could've continued until he was a 110 yr. old man with a bunch of health issues. DB could've continued forever and it literally would be a series that continues for eternity. The characters would die, come back, Goku would be immortal and fight for eternity, the universe would never end, Goku would gain infinite power, Goku would fight Simon from Tengen Toppa Guren Lagann, etc. Yes I'm a hardcore Goku fanboy, so what!?

Akira Toriyama intent

I would of ended it the way it was meant to be. Goku kills Frieza on Namek and dies in a massive planet explosion.

I would have ended different but changed it up a bit. Goku defeated frieza, gohan defeated cell, so i would have let vegeta shine. but before all of that future trunks would have took his mother and stayed at the same timeline as everyone else trunks would have been able to turn ssj 2 when majun buu came so. Goten and trunks fused and majun buu kills thems because they were to playful and he learned all there attacts and killed them. Gohan and future trunks fused and almost beats him but gets absorbed by buu. This makes him extremly strong because gohan and trunks are stronger then gotenks. (No earing fusion) but i love fusion how could some one not want that to stay? anyways. Vegeta and goku trains together and the time chainber and vegeta become ssj3 then they both fused at ssj 3 and almost beat buu but time runs out and they unfuse. goku gets killed and leaves vegeta all alone. Then vegeta does the bomb thing now that hes ssj3 so hes stronger and the bomb works. piccolo, krillen, yamcha, chichi, everybody elese never dies and they use the first wish to wish back goten, goku, vegeta, trunks, then they use the second wish to seperate future trunks and gohan out of majuun buu and they have to stay in heaven untill the dragonballs could be used again. while trunks and gohan are heaven they train and become ssj 3 and then goku, vegeta, gohan, future trunks all can be ssj 3 which is awesome and how could some dummies hate ssj3. then gohan and trunks get wish back and they all live happily ever after no gt.

CHECK IT OUT!!!!

Everything that happened from the Saiyan saga to the 28th World Martial Arts Tournament remains the same. However, instead of Goku leaving his family (like he always does and expects everyone to "understand why") to train Uub for 5 years, he invites Uub to live with him and train at Mount Paozu. Over the course of the 5 year span, there is an entirely new threat to fight in which Goku and the Z Fighters must defeat. This time something different from an intergalactic megolomaniac space conqeror, a bloodthirsty android or magical entity. Also, as my filler, I would show how Future Trunks's life is at the current time, with him having a son and daughter, a wife, etc. He also finds and trains some new warriors, thus creating his own Z Fighters team. Trunks also has, by this time, achieved SS2 level and is the most powerful character of his team, as he is the only remaing Saiyan left ( his children would be 1/4 Saiyan since he is 1/2 Saiyan and his wife is Human). After the 5 year span, GT would commence and end the same way (also, as a further glimpse into the future, the plot of Dragonball Online would be viewed).

My idea for the ending of dragon ball z..........

When goku kills frieza and coller finds out i think that cooler should have never have gone to earth because he knew he couldnt be the sayian that killed his brother but instead he trains and finds out he ultimate form. AS he trains to become stronger than goku he watches the earth in his spaceship. He waits and watches the cell games and watches goku die and watches gohan achieve ssj2. Cooler finds out that friezas 100 % mode and learns how to unlock it for himself. With Cooler now able to be in his ultimate form and 100 % mode at the same time he has an unbelievable power . Then babidi releases buu and the world tournament never takes place so goku doesnt come back. Cooler finds super buu and destorys him. He also finds gohan and in this story broly finds earth but learns to control his transformation because of the dragon balls . Coolers hench fight broly and when broly kills them by unleasing lengdedary. Coller finds broly and broly is no match . Cooler goes on finding future trunks who has stayed in the past to help replace goku.

trunks somehow surviving his first encouter with cooler runs to gohan and goten and little trunks . They then all fight cooler at once and they seem to be winning because of mystic gohan but right as they are finishing cooler he releases his ultimate form. This form is far more powerful then any of them. They escape coolers wrath and go into hiding where they tell the namekians to find the dragon balls and wich back goku.. Sensing coolers power goku and gohan decide to fight cooler because he thinks his new ssj3 form and gohan mysitc form is enough to beat cooler. And to coolers suprise it is enough power. Their power combineed surpasses coolers but cooler has a flashback of his brother dying and unleashes his ultimate form 100 % whch is full of rage. Goku knows that cooler is going to kill him and gohan if they keep fighting so goku sacrifices himself again allowing gohan to escape and train in the hyperbolic time chamber . Gohan unlocks a transformation much like ssj4 (but i like to call it super mystic gohan) he looks likes a ssj4 but is able to transform into a supersayian while in the state..(has same apperance as a ssj4 with black fur and when he goes super sayian the fur turns golden.) This new power of gohan ultimatly kills cooler in an epic battle goku never returns due to his training to become like gohan. Vegeta isnt brought back to life the first time because he rrather train with goku in the other world with some help with the other two wishes .

My ending

I think the series should have ended when Goku won the other world tournament because that wraps everything because Goku now has a new adventure in other world, Trunks completes his mission of destroying the Androids and Goku had passed the torch onto Gohan to be the Earths greatest hero so for me that would have been the better ending. However if it were me writing it then I would have done the Freiza saga last and made the Super Saijan story the last part the whole thing about Goku reaching the pinical of his race and Vegeta having to give best to Goku but still play an integral role I think suits a better ending as I think there power levels increased way to quickly compared to how they raised in Dragonball.

Any of the sagas, but preferably Buu.

It could've ended perfectly after either the Frieza Saga, Cell Saga, or Buu Saga.

Frieza Saga: Ties all the way back to the roots of Goku's life, how the reason Goku was on Earth eventually ties all the way back to Frieza and his anexing Planet Vegeta to do his dirty work. Without Frieza, there wouldn't be Dragon Ball. Also, it symbolizes a Greek mythology type thing - Frieza tried to escape his fate, but it was his own actions that led to his fate. Goku unlocks the legendary Super Saiyan transformation, the very thing Frieza feared, and avenged his fallen race. Ties all the way back to the roots of Goku's life and has a symbolic meaning: a perfect ending (though of course, we're glad it went on). And it would also fit with the whole "SSJs pop up only once a thousand years", cuz after that, everyone does it -.-.

No doubt they would attempt to wish back Goku, but it could've simply been left at the fact that Goku didn't want to return, and maybe Gohan would conclude that it's so that his family and home can stay safe (a bit similar to why Goku refused to return after Cell). Gohan could then grow up, and Vegeta may have settled down - or Gohan could've grown to defeat the final threat to the universe: Vegeta himself. Not to mention that I feel that the Frieza Saga was the best saga - it had suspense and thrill, foreshadowing, and good plot - the following sagas are almost entirely "train and fight the bad guy", while Frieza Saga had some story and some "umph!" to it. It was almost a combo of Dragon Ball Z and certain parts of Dragon Ball, and it was the only DBZ saga where Goku found his strength in a time of need and despair, rather than (as stated above) simply training and gaining it beforehand, making Frieza Saga a bit more like a story rather than pure action. Truly beautiful saga, and it would've ended fine right here. Besides, Toriyama originally wanted it to end here, and I can see why. Goku finally understands the roots of his entire life and takes out the one who made his people suffer, stepping into the realm of legend that the tyrant feared. A bit cliche, but it was perfect.

Cell Saga: While Frieza Saga ties all the way back to Goku's roots and heritage, Cell Saga ties back to Goku's childhood, which is almost as good. The grudge held by a mad scientist from a former, sinister organization feared across the globe...the grudge that was directed to a single boy who single-handedly took out the army. The grudge that caused this guy to keep close watch of Goku, but not close enough...had he known Goku's true strength, he'd have tried to control his earlier, more powerful models, rather than try to create a weaker one...but a genius is a genius, and these "weaker" models can steal our hero's power, potentially making them more threatening than the deceased bane of the universe: Frieza. Sadly, the doctor's "playing it safe" indirectly led to his downfall (though 17 & 18 would've probably killed him no matter what happened). This part of the saga even had all that suspense to it, almost like the Fireza Saga.

Goku's son rises to the task to take out the last of those whom his father could not, and peace is at hand, while Goku does not return to ensure that peace is eternal. My only "complaint", although it really isn't a complaint, is that I feel Goku is more suited to the hero role than Gohan. Don't get me wrong, Gohan was great, and if Goku was absent, he'd definitely fit into the hero role better than anyone, but he lacks the characteristics Goku has - he's more of a guardian, only rising to the task of fighting when he needs to, whereas Goku is a warrior - ready to protect at any time. Gohan was even willing to throw in the towel against Cell, and if it weren't for Goku, he would have done just that. Goku didn't give up even against Frieza, and again, Frieza was the one person he truly wasn't prepared for. Nonetheless, Gohan did his job well, and DBZ would've ended fine here, although part of me still wanted Goku's heroism, which is why I feel that the Frieza Saga would have been a better ending (though, again, I'm still glad they continued it).

Buu Saga: Buu Saga was the least necessary of the 3, and it was really just thrown in to make the series longer. Either way, I love the terror and hopelessness this saga conveys, especially when people like Super Buu and Kid Buu were on the loose. Also, we got Goku as the hero at the end, and if you ask me, the Buu Saga ending was better, more emotional, more dramatic, and (I gotta say it) more epic than the ending for the Cell Saga. It was also more epic than Frieza Saga's ending, though Frieza Saga was much more dramatic and, arguable, emotional (Goku's demise). Nonetheless, this saga had a great ending too.

While I think Frieza Saga had the best ending, I'm glad DBZ continued into the Cell and Buu Sagas, because I loved the story and concept of the Cell Saga (though it seemed that it was during this saga that Toriyama slowly began to run out of ideas), and Buu Saga was just pretty fun overall and its ending was just as great as the others. Personally, though I like the Frieza and Cell Sagas much more than most of the Buu Saga, I loved Buu Saga's ending - all the endings were pretty d*** good. This is why, even though I don't think Buu Saga had the BEST ending, I still think I'd have it go up to the Buu Saga, just because I can't imagine the series without it going this far. AT could've left out the World Tournament part, but that ties back to Goku's wish a reincarnation of Kid Buu...AT LEAST Goku leaving to train some random kid could've been left out, as it was unnecessary for him to just leave like that - but seeing them at peace and enjoying life was great. The ending scene from DBZ should've been Goku & Vegeta starting off their match at the tournament, symbolizing their never ending rivalry and friendship. Goku could've been content just knowing that there was a reincarnation of Buu that he could fight, no need for other junk. Now that I could've lived with.
