I Have Never watched the original dragonball series from beginning to end. Should I watch it? alot of people are like you call yourself a dragonball fan how can you without watching bla bla bla. I have watched every episode of dbz and gt. although im a huge fan for some odd reason i never botherd for the original. Should i watch it? If so why? Xeztin (talk) 03:31, July 9, 2013 (UTC)

You should definitely watch it, I think you should watch the whole series. I also watched DBZ and GT before Dragon Ball, and I absolutely loved all of it. It really gave me a great appreciation for the earthling characters such as Yamcha, Tien Shinhan, Master Roshi and even Chi-Chi; Tien in particular left a huge impression in Dragon Ball for me, he's one of the most powerful characters and he has an interesting back story. I will agree with the above user that some of my favorite parts are the King Piccolo Saga onward, I think you'll really like it too, but the earlier stuff is great as well. The World Martial Arts Tournaments are all excellent, and Goku battling the Red Ribbon Army is another one of my favorite parts of the entire Dragon Ball metaseries. The first saga when Goku meets Bulma is a little slow, especially compared to DBZ, but it's still really good; it's how the whole story begins. Super Shmevan (talk) 04:57, July 9, 2013 (UTC)
It makes DBZ ten times better[]
I loved Dragon Ball, it's a little slow at the start but you get to see Goku and Krillin training, fighting pirates and armies, Goku vs Master Roshi and a lot of awesome stuff. But the best thing about it is it gives you a great feeling of nostalgia when watching DBZ, for the martial arts tournaments, Tien Shinhan and the Demon Namekians mostly. Also the music's great. It's a must watch for DBZ fans as you get to see where it all began :)

You most definitely should. It was a great show. I just recently finished rewatching it an loved every single moment of it. If you wanted to start in the middle I would suggest to start watching it during the 22nd world martial arts tournament where we meet tien. Or maybe during the king piccolo saga

You also stop and appreciate the other characters like tien, yamcha, master roshi and especially during the last five episodes Chi Chi.
It's also very comical the wat Goku acts around other people
