Hard to say...I think so[]

Gohan was stronger than Super Perfect Cell even with his arm broken. His handicap was more mental than anything. Even though it took a distraction from Vegeta, Gohan's last ditch blast COMPLETELY overwhelmed Cell. If Gohan had been able to summon that energy from the beginning, Cell would've been blown away regardless of whether he maintained focus or not. That's my take on it, anyway. It's hard to say though, since Cell, who can sense power, was very confident upon his return. Gohan, who can also sense power, was also unafraid to take on Cell again. So maybe they were more or less comparable in power. It probably would have been a good fight had Vegeta not intervened with his valiant yet useless attack. Janemba4eva 22:55, August 11, 2011 (UTC)

no. in dragonball kai english subs, cell states he is now equal to son gohan. he said this before breaking his arm with a casual blast.

Remember Cell has Vegeta's cells in him which could lead him to say this out of arrogance with maybe a hint of trying to intimidate Gohan into doubting himself.

if he wanted to taunt gohan, he would have said he was much stronger. but he didnt. he said as strong as gohan. plus was cell just being cocky when he said trunks had no chance of beating him? obviously not. and was he being cocky when he said goku and himself were equal? no. in fact that was straight bullshit as he was holding back.

If this is the case then how did Gohan Tank a hit from Cell, But Cell is obliterated by Gohans attack if they were the same power level at full health.

Because, Cell had been slightly offguard by Vegeta's energy attack and he couldn't be attentive to the kamehameha battle. And then Gohan charged his full power into his kamehameha wave and eliminates Cell. But, if Vegeta wouldn't attack Cell then Gohan didn't get a chance against Cell even if his arm wouldn't be broken becaus Cell was much stronger than him. Remember Cell's only one little energy wave (when he was about to kill Vegeta with this wave) inured SSJ2 Gohan causing his left arm broken. If Gohan would've been stronger than SPC then why he was badly injured with Cell's little energy attack? That will obviously make sense that Cell in his Super Perfect form was stronger than SSJ2 Teen Gohan.

And if it is discussed about Cell's full power stage in his Super Perfect form then definetely he would have been much stronger than SSJ2 Teen Gohan full power(not-injured).

If Gohan injured was at half his power or less then Cell should have only been Severly injured by it if that regardless if Cell had his full attention on Gohan or not.

After reading these other posts I have to submit and agree that Super Perfect Cell was equal to or even stronger than healthy SSJ2 Gohan. So how did Gohan defeat him? Remember that raging Gohan has always had the ability to heavily damage opponents who are much stronger than him, even if he doesn't have total control of his latent energy. In this case, Vegeta's distraction gave him the opportunity to unleash it. That seems to make more sense. Janemba4eva 00:27, August 14, 2011 (UTC)

I'm not so sure that Gohan was "raging" when he was doing the KameHameHa at the time i think he might have been a little(or very) uncertin about his ability to fight Cell with a broken arm.

My own personal opinion is that SSJ2 Gohan is stronger than Super Perfect Cell. Throughout the series, Gohan has lacked self confidance, which has been his biggest weakness. He almost never truly believes that he can overcome what might be in front of him. Yes, Cell injured him with a "simple" ki blast. However, seen in the proper context, it wasn't so simple after all. The blast was meant for Vegeta, who after trying to avenge Future Trunks, was listless, but still able to maintain his SSJ form. Since it is not known whether he was able to achieve the level of perfection that Gohan and Goku achieved with the base SSJ transformation, one could guess that he was not so helpless, which Cell of course knew. Now, since Gohan was only trying to save Vegeta, he did not have time to properly plant himself and deflect the blast; he merely absorbed it and the force only broke his arm. Gohan, now lacking any shred of self confidence, was at the "mercy"of Cell. As one sees in the beam struggle, each have their overwhelming moments, but Cell is simply not able to finish off Gohan. As is seen, Goku builds his son's confidence to a level where, tho injured, he knows that when the time is right, he *can* beat Cell. Even at 50% power. At 50% power, Cell should have been able to easily dispatch his foe, but he is seemingly unable. I know Cell liks to toy with his "prey", and is extremely arrogant, but even he should have known about Gohan's potential through rage; that's what got him to where he was then!
