[[Category:{{{1}}}|Master Roshi's Power]]

I know that Master Roshi's power level has been stated as 139, but what I'm curious about are the PL's of his transformations. On his wiki page, it says he has two transformations: 50% Max Power and Max Power. Here's the question: Is his base form of 139 equal to 1% of his Max Power? If so, then his 50% Max Power transformation would have a PL of 6,950 and his Max Power transformation would have a PL of 13,900. Even with the increased energy drain, he could have easily taken down every enemy by himself up until Vegeta. What do you all think?

He could have, if you assume that his normal form is only like 1% of his true strength, which I doubt. if it was, why didn't he just use it against Piccolo? He could have gotten stronger

We didn't find out his PL until after Raditz died, which was 8 years (I think) after Goku fought King Piccolo. It's possible that he had gotten much stronger in those 8 years, and that even his Max Power form wouldn't have been able to take on King Piccolo. That being said, unless there's a huge plot hole, there's no way his base form is only 1% of his Max Power form, because as the OP said, that would make his Max Power PL 13,900, which would have been more than enough for the likes of Raditz and Nappa.

Of course Master Roshi could have beaten everyone till Vegeta haven't you read the Manga?

It is clearly stated that he can beat the villains but he gives Goku and the z-fighters a chance because he won't be around for ever (funny enough, in dragonball it is stated that he has drunk from the fountain of youth so he will be around for ever)

I hate these guys who don't read the manga and think they know dragonball.

Wow, sorry. Didn't know I had to be a purist to enjoy Dragon Ball.

Didnt he lose to tien in dragonball in his 50% form?

no he lost to him in his 17% form

Why didn´t Roshi beat King Piccolo and let himself be killed. I understand him holding back, but he even admits that King Piccolo was to great of a challenge, who was apparently weaker than Piccolo Jr. at the end of Dragon Ball (whos power level was only 1300-1400).

He could have stood a chance

If Master Roshi was at about the same power level as Tien in his 50% form, then I think Master Roshi could have fought King Piccolo in his Max Power form. Redstardragonball 23:29, July 4, 2012 (UTC)
