Goku VS Piccolo (World Tournament)- Pretty brutal fight, how Goku gets shot through the chest. He also learns how to fly DURING the fight.
Goten & Trunks/Gotenks VS Hitler- This fight was extremely silly and fun to look at.
Kid Goku VS The Red Ribbon Army- It was unique seeing someone fight not one person, but 2,000 expendable people.
Adult Gohan VS Frieza- It made my heart jump with joy seeing Gohan, who was not even the strongest of the Z-Fighters, beat a major villain with one hit.
Goku VS Uub- Goku slapping his fanny at Uub, while Uub actually learns how to fight AS he's fighting.
Krillin VS General Blue- Although Krillin lost, it was nice to see Krillin in a genuine fight.

Goku VS. Frieza - The Best fight of the series. A little dragged on but that made it better. Not to mention it had the first Super Saiyan transformation. Brutal and awesome.
Mystic Gohan Vs. Buu - This was one of the only times Gohan was cool. Him smacking Buu ( who was deemed unbeatable to this point) in slow-mo was just great. It sucks, though, that after this he became a nerd.
Trunks Vs. Frieza - Not really a fight, but. Frieza was the main enemy for two seasons, and Trunks comes and cuts him in half. Another thing about Trunks is he is a warrior, always being alone battling the androids, while Present day Trunks is like a brat. But, like I said, he cut him in half as a Super Saiyan right after Goku did. It was also sick as he blows Frieza up and his blood drips down on the ground.
Goku Vs. Vegeta - Set the tone for the entire series, defining the rivalry between them. Also, the Kamehameha- Galick Gun standoff is one of the best moments of the show.
Gohan Vs. Cell - Gohan never really did anything special until this point. Maybe getting a hit on a few enemies or so, but that's it. Until the Cell games, where he absolutely pones Cell after Android 16's death. He finally killed Cell with the father - son Kamehameha. Just look at his face in SSJ2.
Goku and Piccolo Vs. Raditz - All I know is that at this point Goku and Piccolo despised each other and teaming up was especially hard to do. And the finishing move was sick, blasting through both Raditz and Goku. But, it was the beginning of the series, and instead of starting on a quest or something they jump into a fight and the main character gets killed. That's something different.
Vegito Vs. Buu - Obviously Vegito is awesome, the fusion of the most powerful and coolest characters of the show: Goku and Vegeta. He is the most powerful person in the show, really being able to beat Buu without going Super Saiyan. Plus, he could have gone SSJ3 too. Buu stood no chance against him, resorting to his last and cheap techniques that Vegito fell for on purpose to free the people inside of Buu.
All Vs. The Ginyu Force - There were a lot of good fights against the Ginyu Force, so that's why I put all. First, Vegeta decapitating Guldo was pretty awesome. Then him against Recoome really wasn't fair, when Recoome beat Vegeta up and broke Gohan's neck. Then, Goku comes and beats Recoome in one puch. Also the fight with Burter and Jeice is good, like when Goku breaks Jeice's nose.
Goku, Vegeta, Good Buu, and Mr. Satan Vs. Kid Buu - This was another great battle that took place on the Kai's planet after Kid Buu blew Earth up. SSJ3 Goku did good, and the Good Buu Vs. Kid Buu was the perfect example of Good Vs. Evil fighting for the top. It was also the battle where Vegeta admitted Goku was better than him. At the end, Goku destroyed Buu in style with the Spirit Bomb.
Goku Vs. Cell - A good fight. My favorite part was the instant transmission - Kamehameha.

Goku VS. Majin Vegeta - Arguably the greatest fight in the entire Dragon Ball Z series. This one was the ultimate no-holds-barred grudge match.
Piccolo VS. Android 17 - No Saiyans, no transformations, no bells and whistles. This one was just a knock-down, drag-out brawl.
The Z Fighters VS. Perfect Cell - Another great battle that took a concentrated group effort to win. I love this one so much because of Gohan and everything he went through during it.
Broly VS. The Z Fighters - The first Broly film. Holy crap...'nuff said...
Kid Buu VS. Goku, Vegeta, Hercule, and Fat Buu - This fight was epic on a biblical scale. This was one of those that took a group effort, something I appreciate a lot in this series.
Goku VS. Frieza - This one would've been much higher, except it took something to the tune of about 20 episodes for 5 minutes to pass.
Gohan VS. Frieza (2nd Form) - Frieza Saga (obviously). This fight was short, but sweet. After watching Frieza torture Krillin, Gohan snaps and gives Frieza what is arguably the second worst beating of his life.
Goku VS. Turles' Henchmen - This happens during the movie The Tree of Might. After the other Z Fighters have been beaten, Goku powers up and decimates Turles' henchmen with a scary ease.
Chi-Chi VS. The Denizens of Kame House - This happens during the Android/Cell Saga (unfortunately, I can't remember which episode it happens in). This isn't actually on here for any fight, but because in a comedic scene, Chi-Chi gets angry at everyone in the house and actually powers up (complete with red aura and swirling Ki bolts) This is on here just because it was utterly hilarious.

Goku vs Frieza (when I was a kid and used to watch dragon ball, Frieza saga made me crazy, I was attracted 100% into the fight.)
Goku vs Piccolo (23rd world martial arts tournament, first Goku's fight for earth's sake in a new grown-up body, he's fighting skills and attitudes had improved and he became even more attracting character at that time! I enjoyed every single minute of the fight, tough it wasn't such long as fight versus Frieza, although it was enough!)
Yamcha vs Tien (22nd world martial arts tournament - I am little fan of Yamcha and still carrying some disappointment about his uselessness and loneliness in the future dbz series, specially for not becoming Bulma's husband :( I think it's nostalgia... however I picked the fight because Tien and Yamcha were equal rivals in the beggining of the fight, although at first I thought Yamcha will be outnumbered against Tien, but the fight made a memorable impression.)
Goku vs Cell (Goku showed it's best and almost killed Cell, however he was too weak against Cell or maybe he wanted reveal Gohan's true abilities, we all know Goku would never give up without a reason, and if it's not Gohan, than one way or another Goku would kick Cell's butt.:))
Piccolo vs Android 17 (This fight was a surprise for me, Piccolo made a decision to reuinite with Kami and became very strong and wise and cooler than he was before, good devil Piccolo. :))
Goku vs Vegeta (First fight of two eternal DBZ rivals.)
Master Roshi vs Goku (21st world martial arts tournament - good old days. :))
Vegeta vs Zarbon (Vegeta surprised Zarbon, kicked his a** and made him pay!)
Goku vs Tien (23rd world martial arts tournament - damn I liked those tournaments so much! And this fight revealed Goku's new powers, it was very exciting, Goku even made fun of 22nd world martial arts tournament winner. :))
Goku, Vegeta vs Kid Boo (The last and the most inclusive fight of Buu's saga, no fussions, no prior tactics, just pure devotion of two DBZ heroes: Goku and Vegeta in fight against the horror of universe - Kid Buu.)

Goku vs. Frieza and Perfect Cell (In Hell, Goku pwns them both, but inevitably getting trapped in their Hell Bazooka technique and gets sent down even farther in Hell to be tortured.)
SSJ Vegeta vs. Android 19 (Absolutely PWNED him; ripped both his hands off and then finished him with the Big Bang Attack, sending 19's head flying.)

I love the Dragon Ball franchise, especially DBZ. The Cell Saga is one of the best saga in my opinion. I love Sun Goku as well as Vegeta, Trunks, Piccolo etc.

Sun Goku vs Perfect Cell : This fight is one of the best. One of the most anticipated battle IMO. Akira Toriyama's brilliant plot/storyline of Sun Goku's childhood quest for Dragon Ball & revenge of the fallen Red Ribbon Army's Regiment's conflict comes head-to-head at this point of the saga. I really look up to the Key Animators, Studio Cockpit as well as Magic House that really deserve credits for their hardwork..

Future Trunks vs Perfect Cell : Epic. One word sums it all. Ultra Super Saiyan Trunks is just....Man!!!

Sun Goku vs Frieza ( I love this fight, esp before Goku's SS transformation. It was really dynamic & cool. It was dragged like hell, and animated so cheap for a villain like Frieza, but redeems itself for me as a setup for the arrival of Future Trunks and the wonderful Android Saga.
Gohan vs Cell Jrs. ( No offence, but i particularly dislike Gohan. His presence in the middle of the above awesome Big Guys just seem awkward..His characterizations wasn't appealing to me..unlike his AWESOME DAD..Sun Goku appealed to me even when he was a kid..I loved him..But Gohan..just no..)

Super Saiyan Goku vs. Final Form Freeza (manga version). Intended to be the finale of the series, this fight was amazing in the manga. Goku, stronger than he's ever been, fighting against the most powerful and evil opponent ever on a ticking time bomb of a planet. Set the standard for epic battles not only in Dragon Ball but in manga and anime overall, and is emotionally charged from all the deaths throughout the Freeza Saga.
Goku vs. Piccolo Jr. The final fight of the original series, this battle was probably the most intense up to its point. Goku fought against his toughest opponent yet with everything he had, and barely won, battered and broken after the fact. Not to mention that Piccolo is my favorite character in the series =).
Goku vs. Vegeta. Call me boring, I know, but this was the best fight at its point in the series, only beaten out by the first 2 because of the buildup and the lack of repetition. The first big battle between the toughest Saiyans and the beginning of anime's ultimate rivalry.
Kid Goku vs. Master Roshi. Easily the craziest fight of the early series, as well as the one that showed the limits of Master Roshi's real power. The back-and-forth between Goku and the world's strongest martial artist showed how much the boy's skill was developing even during the battle itself.
Super Saiyan 2 Gohan vs. Perfect Cell. Another easy choice, the emotions behind Gohan make him a poignant protagonist during this battle, and the jarring change from his usual personality is felt by both Cell and myself.
Super Saiyan 2 Goku vs. Majin Vegeta. The wild character development by Vegeta during this part of the series makes this a part of my list. His desperate hunger for power makes him almost a tragic character at this point, which one really wouldn't expect from DBZ.
Future Trunks vs. Future Android 17, Future Android 18, and Future Cell. An emotionally charged assault marking a major character's total departure from the series, it was going on this list one way or the other. Only this low because it was a total curbstomp battle.
Vegeta and Future Trunks vs. Semi-perfect/Perfect Cell. Character development aplenty for both protagonists in this fight, along with new transformations and the introduction of the Final Flash. Good stuff.
Goku vs. Mercenary Tao. The first of very few fights in the series where Goku gets completely outclassed and beaten within an inch of his life, it creates a marked change in the mood of this part of the story. A handful of people can claim to have essentially defeated Goku, and Mercenary Tao is the first.
Bardock vs. the world. More of a story mechanic than an actual battle, this still makes the list because of how poignant a moment this was in the series, so much so that Toriyama decided to make it canon. Many people find Bardock incredibly overrated within the fandom, but characters are popular for a reason.

Vegeta vs. Frieza: This fight had one of the top 5 most emotional moment in Dragon Ball History, with Vegeta meeting his limits and losing his will to fight. Sad moment, culminating with his death.
Goku vs. Frieza: This fight took so many twists and turns. One minute, Goku had the advantage. Then Frieza. Then Goku again. Then Frieza for a long time. Then Goku when he turned Super Saiyan. Then Frieza after he went 100%. Then they were even. Then Goku completely outclassed Frieza. Just a great fight.
Piccolo vs. Android 17: These two guys just put on a clinic. There was no BS, just a great fight.
Kid Buu vs. Goku, Vegeta, Mr. Buu, and Mr. Satan: Kid Buu showed why he was the most feared being in the universe when he completely destroyed all these guys. He seemed to get stronger as the fight wore on. It took a desperation Spirit Bomb to BARELY win.
Nappa vs. Tien, Chiaoutzu, Piccolo, Gohan, and Krillin: No matter what they did, Nappa would not be shaken. I was a kid the first time I saw this, and even I feared Nappa.

These are by far the best fight's in DBZ and Dragonball. These picks aren't just based on the most intense fights they are also based on the most well plotted battles. I also chose these depending on how exactly the characters fought, (strategically or one of those fights where it depends on just maxing their your power).

Vegito (SSJ) vs. Super Buu (Gohan absorbed): By far the best fight in all of Dragonball Z. It's awesome how Vegito was still able to beat the living daylight's out of Buu even when he got turned into Candy.
Majin Vegeta (SSJ2) vs. Goku (SSJ2 hidden SSJ3): It's awesome. Everyone was probably waiting for the day when Goku and Vegeta would have a rematch.
Frieza (Final Form) vs. Goku [SSJ]: Longest fight ever! It was well plotted and greatly devised.
Vegeta vs Goku (Saiyan saga): First MAJOR battle in DBZ. It was mainly a battle where raw power itself was what the battle revolved around. But, nonetheless it was awesome.
Goku vs Perfect Cell: Amazing battle their power's are incredible! Goku's srategy and thinking is good during the fight. Like the Instant Transmission Kamehameha.
Gotenks vs. Super Buu: Its a lengthy battle but defenately worthy enough to be on the list> Gotenks strategy isn't great, but he lands some pretty devestating hits on Buu.
Vegeta vs. Zarbon (Round 2): Zarbon has great strategy and his transformation's sweet. But thanks to his recuperative DNA Vegeta won the maatchup.
Piccolo (Super Namek) vs. Imperfect Cell: Great fight. Luckily Piccolo can regenerate his limbs or he would have lost for sure.
Tien vs. Kid Goku (world tournament): They fire brilliant blasts and put up great resistance against one another.
Piccolo (fused w/Nail) vs. Frieza second form: Piccolo uses great strategy during the battle. He keeps his weighted clothing on in the beggining, to let Frieza think he'll win. Then he takes off his cape and pounds him into a pulp.
