I believe that becoming a ssj4 needs six things.
1 be a pure blooded sayan (cause baby vegeta couldnt transform)
2 have a tail
3 have a huge base form power level
4 absorb blutz waves
5 control the golden oozaru form.
6 watching gay saga about inlogical things in db world
REQUIRMENTS TO TRANSFORM INTO A SSJ 4
1. Obtain SSJ
2. Be able to transform into an Oozaru
3. Be able to gain control of Oozaru form, while as a SSJ as an Oozaru.

1. Your argument doesnt make any sense. First, Baby only controls his host, so Vegeta while been controlled by Baby, is still a full-blooded saiyan. I believe that Baby itself cant kick-in a new SSJ form. So even after turned into a Golden Oozaru and BABY gained control of it, only Vegeta can achieve the SSJ4 form, which makes sense, dont it? So after that, Baby could use its [SSJ4] power, but like I said, only after the owner of the body achieve it first.
And I see no problem on Gohan turning into SSJ4, for example. After all, he can transform into an Oozaru and SSJ, like his father. So, after some training, he could have a enormous amount of ki like Goku or Vegeta, if he dont have it already, to then turns into the golden Oozaru, then, after gained control of his body, achieve the so dreamed SSJ4. The only problem that Gohan or any other half-blooded saiyans could have is the tail (which doesnt grow back naturally or doesnt grow back ever), but I dont think it is totally irreversible (is that a statament that the blutz wave machine could not act the same on Gohan? Since that machine grown the Vegeta' tail back; I think it could grow Gohan' as well).

First. Be ssj3 before or after breaking great ape status. The combined power of the great ape transformation, and ssj3 together will create ssj4. I know what yourthinking. BUT VEGETA NEEDED BLUTZ WAVES TO- no. Just, no. Vegeta never was in ssj3 form, therefore he absorbed blutz waves to get to ssj3 in great ape form.
/\ You don't need SSJ3 to become a SS4.
