Full-Nelson Special Beam Cannon (羽交い締め魔貫光殺砲) is a double-team technique used by Goku and Piccolo.

Overview

Piccolo says "sorry to keep you waiting" and fires his Special Beam Cannon at the opponent. Then, Goku sneaks up behind the opponent and puts them in a Full-Nelson so they can not escape. Finally, as the opponent tries to escape Goku's full-nelson, the Special Beam Cannon impales both the opponent and Goku, inflicting a huge amount of damage.

Goku and Piccolo used this attack to defeat the Saiyan invader, Raditz. Enraged at Raditz for torturing his father, Gohan broke out of the Saiyan spacepod and attacked Raditz with a powerful headbutt, seriously injuring him. With Raditz injured and stunned, Goku and Piccolo struck Raditz with the Full-Nelson Special Beam Cannon, killing him and Goku in the process. Before dying, Raditz revealed that two more powerful Saiyans, Vegeta and Nappa, would arrive on Earth in one year. Angry at Raditz's arrogance, Piccolo finished off Raditz.

Appearances in games

The technique is shown in cutscenes in Dragon Ball Z: Super Saiya Densetsu, Dragon Ball Z: Budokai, and Dragon Ball Z: Legendary Super Warriors. In a cutscene of Dragon Ball Z: Supersonic Warriors, during Piccolo's what-if story, it is shown being used by both Goku and Piccolo against Perfect Cell during the Cell Games. The attack is great enough in reverting Perfect Cell into his Semiperfect form, before Piccolo finishes off the evil Android but at the cost of Goku's life. The technique was named Full-Nelson Special Beam Cannon in the Raging Blast games, where it is a team super attack used by Piccolo with Goku.

Trivia

  • In Dragon Ball: Raging Blast 2, the image of the Full-Nelson Special Beam Cannon has the Special Beam Cannon with a black/pink color instead of the normal white/yellow color.
  • This technique resulted in the deaths of both Bardock and Gine's only children: Raditz & Kakarot, though their youngest son was later revived by a wish to Shenron. It is one of two techniques to have actually managed to kill Goku, the other being Semi-Perfect Cell's Unforgivable! Self Destruction technique, though in both cases Goku chose to sacrifice his life to both techniques.
