Goku on the Ropes! Pin Your Hopes on the Spirit Bomb! (絶体絶命の悟空！元気玉に願いを託せ, Zettai Zetsumei no Gokū! Genki Dama ni Negai o Takuse) is the fifteenth overall episode in the Dragon Ball Z Kai series. The episode first aired on July 12th, 2009. Its original American air date was June 10, 2010. Its Dragon Ball Z counterparts are "Spirit Bomb Away!" and "Hero in the Shadows".

SummaryEdit

Firming his resolve, Goku tries to create a Spirit Bomb, but he is hit by an attack the instant he finishes gathering energy. He manages to wound Great Ape Vegeta's eye in his battered state, but Vegeta begins trying to crush him in his hand. While hiding, Gohan and Krillin watch the fight and try to come up with a plan to cut off Vegeta's tail. They fail, but Yajirobe seizes an opening and severs it with his sword. After returning to his original form, Vegeta angrily bouts with Gohan, who is reluctant at first to fight until he gets support from Goku. Goku entrusts Krillin with the remaining energy from the Spirit Bomb.
