Goku vs. Ginyu (悟空か!?ギニューか!? Gokū ka!? Ginyū ka!?, lit. "Goku!? Ginyu!?") is the twenty-fourth volume of the original Dragon Ball manga series. It was released on January 10, 1991 in Japan, and in May 2003 for the English version. It is released in North America as Dragon Ball Z volume eight, with the chapter count restarting back to one. It concludes the Namek Saga and marks the beginning of the Captain Ginyu Saga.

"At the end of October, I had the honor of becoming a father of two. This time, it’s a girl. Mother and daughter are both in good health, so I am very happy. When her big brother was first born, I swore firmly that I would be a strict father, but I turned out to be very doting, losing all faith in myself. I thought that next time, for sure, I would be strict, but there’s no way I can do that with a girl. These days, I’m pushing back against it, [thinking] “What’s wrong with doting on your kids?!!"
Summary
Goku arrives on Namek, rushes to aid his friends, and downs Recoom with one punch. Jheese escapes to retrieve Ginyu to fight Goku. Vegeta leaves the battle to try to find the Dragon Balls. Realizing Goku has him beat, Ginyu injures himself and switches bodies with Goku.
