Intercept (インターセプト Intāseputo) is a counterattack used by Future Gohan.
Overview[]
First, Future Gohan and the opponent engage in a hand-to-hand battle with Future Gohan blocking every hit. Then, Future Gohan moves quickly and gets behind the opponent to deliver a power-packed kick to the chin, inflicting a great deal of damage.
Usage[]
Future Gohan uses this attack during his training with Future Trunks in Dragon Ball Z: The History of Trunks. In order to raise the young Saiyan's power to the limit, or to even become a Super Saiyan, Future Gohan decides to use drastic measures in order to get Future Trunks to snap. He uses the "Intercept" attack, kicking Future Trunks into a typhoon in the ocean. Unfortunately, Future Trunks acts cowardly and Future Gohan has to save him.
Future Gohan later uses a similar attack while fighting Future Android 17 as a Super Saiyan, blocking the Android's attack and kicking him away.
Video Game Appearances[]
This attack was named in Dragon Ball: Raging Blast 2, as one of Future Gohan's Super Attacks in his base and Super Saiyan forms.
It also appears in Dragon Ball Z: Ultimate Tenkaichi, as one of the moves the Ultimate Tenkaichi Hero can learn.
