Mask Lineage of F King Cold collectible

  • Mask Lineage of F (Genealogy of Frieza) series
  • Release date: 2010

A very unique set released by Bandai in 2010 is the “Mask Collection Lineage of F” series, which portrays the sculpted heads of Frieza’s forces in a statuesque manner. Two versions of each character in this set are available; one colored version, and one completely black version with red eyes. The King Cold in this series is highly detailed and is likely the best representation of his face as a single sculpt, with his genuine horns and the extremely meticulous impression on his eyes. The sinister smirk signifies the great deal of detail on his face as his eyes slowly move upward in a deadly manner. The base portrays the character’s name in solid neon highlights, which in this case follows a Japanese naming scheme, written as “King Cold”. This collectible statuette is one of the most highly detailed and the rest of the series is also very thorough in its initial construct and replication, staying true to the original look and feel of the manga and anime alike.

Released in March, 2007, this specific 2-pack is entitled “Alien Invaders.” The box mockup is highlighted by an orange base, which is coincidentally altered for the next eventual release of these figures, being changed to a green base. King Cold is modeled to a perfect format with extreme detail and likely one of the best pieces in terms of a 7-inch scale figure. This 2-pack is quite a rarity as it was released in scarce quantities. King Cold also comes with a removable tail and inter-changeable hands for different variable positioning. The Future Trunks figure is depicted in his eruptive state, with his hair raising upward pre-Super Saiyan transformation and remaining purple as prior to his transformed state.

This 2-pack is quite a rarity as it was released in scarce quantities. However, the figure’s initial construct remains the same as previous releases. King Cold also comes with a removable tail and inter-changeable hands for different variable positioning. The Future Trunks figure is depicted in his eruptive state, with his hair raising upward pre-Super Saiyan transformation and remaining purple as prior to his transformed state.

Giochi Preziosi[]

SeteKingCold

Giochi Preziosi King Cold figure

  • Sete Di Vendetta
  • Release date: Unknown

The initial Giochi Preziosi figures had a large repertoire of characters included in the set. Many of these pieces were smaller versions of other previous molds or just plain re-releases of Jakks Pacific figures. This specific King Cold piece was originally produced by Jakks Pacific but was re-released by Italian manufacturer Giochi Preziosi. The King Cold is the same figure from the "Alien Invasion" and "Alien Invaders" series of the Jakks Pacific lineup. This packaging features an image of Frieza in his second form as he kneels on one knee, which is apparently a packaging error since this is a King Cold figure and not a Frieza figure. The set is titled "Sete Di Vendetta," which translated means "Thirst for Revenge." Other pieces included in this same set are Android 18, Goku, Piccolo, and Tien.
