"Fire gum that binds the opponent! While bound, they'll be wide open to your attacks." |
Merry-Go-Round Gum (グルグルガム) is a tough, sticky and gooey gum like substance that the Giras can use.
Overview
The user shoots it out of his mouth, and it will then fly towards the target and wrap around it. It is very tight, similar to a straight jacket; if encased in it, the only way out is to break it with brute strength.
Giran states that the gum is so strong that not even he can break it and the more the victim struggles, the tighter the gum gets. However, if a victim is strong enough, they can possibly break out of it. Giran uses this move twice, first on Goku and later on Tambourine, who both easily break free.[4]
Also, Goku easily destroys a dam made of Merry-Go-Round Gum with a powerful Kamehameha.[5]
Video game appearances
In Dragon Ball Xenoverse 2, this technique appears under the name Go-Go Gum and can be purchased by the Future Warrior (Xenoverse 2) at the Skill Shop after defeating Kid Buu in the main story.[2]
Interestingly, despite the skill being listed as Go-Go Gum, most of the Future Warrior's voice options will refer to the technique as Merry-Go-Round Gum when performing it.
