SatanHercGiochi

Giochi Preziosi Dragon Ball Z series Mr. Satan figure

  • Giochi Preziosi Dragon Ball Z The Legend is Here series 2
  • Release date: 2003

The initial AB series of "Super Guerriers Articules" figures had a large repertoire of figures which would be re-released under multiple under licensed companies. This specific piece was originally produced in 1996 by AB Groupe but did not see a proper release until 2003 under the “Giochi Preziosi” lineup. Mr. Satan was quite a rarity as a 5-inch figure. Due to being a limited release exclusive to European collectors, the figure's release date and actual original company remain a mystery. However, the model's production being in 1996 and under AB's run is a definite conclusive piece of information about this figure. It is unknown why this figure was not released in the original Super Guerriers lineup in 1996 (dated 1989) along with the rest of the figures in that set. But it did have an official release by Giochi Preziosi in 2003 under the "Legend is Here" series, albeit being the only official release of the figure. This is Mr. Satan's only other 5 inch scale model at the basic figure height other than the Irwin and Jakks model, which actually surfaced prior to this piece. This is likely one of Mr. Satan's best figures in terms of height. The figure comes with his martial arts clothes, a Bazooka accessory, and a Dragon Ball. He holds his ever-popular self-absorbed extreme screaming reaction as he declares himself to be the best. The actual detail on Satan's face here is an acceptable likeness for an AB produced piece, being one of the best designed by the company. All his intricate details remain intact, including his hair, moustache, and facial features. It is unknown why this piece was not released until 2003 but many collectors have deemed it a chase figure due to its limited supply and unusual release date. Other characters included in the same Legend is Here series 2 set are Yamcha, Bulma, Raditz, Krillin, and Goku.

Neo Keyholder set including Mr. Satan, Majin Buu, and Super Buu

  • High Quality Keyholder Series
  • Release date: 2008

Banpresto revealed a slew of Keyholder figurines as one of their basic lineups. In the set released in 2008 and entitled "Neo High Quality Key Holder," the Majin Buu saga is well-depicted in the trio of Mr. Satan, Majin Buu, and Super Buu. The detail is remarkable and the paint job is very unique with a shiny and glossy look. When it comes to Mr. Satan, he is seen in an arms-crossed posture and stands back-to-back with Majin Buu. Super Buu is seen above them both with an insane-looking position with his neck bent and a sinister expression on his face. Majin Buu retains his infantile and innocent reaction as Mr. Satan has a confident and self-absorbed smile across his face. The facial detail is amazing in terms of construct and resemblance. The only detrimental factor of this full piece is that all the characters are cut off at their torso, which means that there are no legs to go along with the base. Mr. Satan cuts off at his championship belt and Majin Buu has some of the fumes building underneath him but there are no legs as a part of this trio set. Other Neo keyholder pieces in this set are Imperfect Cell, Semi-Perfect Cell, and Perfect Cell as the evolution of Cell set, the renegade trio of Android 16, Android 17, and Android 18, and Super Saiyan 3 Goku with Majin Vegeta and Kid Trunks.

Hachette has added a great deal of pieces to their appending "Legend of Manga" releases. Included with the manga volumes is a miniature figurine. Included with Number 47 of this wide range of volumes is none other than Mr. Satan. Released in March, 2010, this piece was no exception to the great deal of detail Hachette has placed on the Dragon Ball manga characters. Mr. Satan's pose is that of his celebratory stance, with both hands reaching upward and declaring victory and his face reflects an expression of complete self-confidence. This is a very unique depiction as it portrays Satan with a red cape and black garb rather than his most common coloring scheme. The colors being unique here make this a very nice collectible for the character.

World Tournament Saga Hercule figure

  • Irwin Toy's World Tournament Saga
  • Release date: 2002

The first basic scale Mr. Satan action figure was released by Irwin Toy in January 2002. The figure, much like the previous and forthcoming Irwin series figures, was well-crafted and came with a signature CCG card. A re-release of exactly the same figure was repacked with a Trading card as opposed to a CCG card, but the contents remained the same. It was designated as part of the World Tournament Saga. The Mr. Satan was titled as "Hercule" due to his alternate naming scheme and had some design features that were unique, such as the extra detail on his championship belt. His hands are positioned in a unique opened posture and there is a decent amount of pose-able joints, allowing for articulation at his knees and elbows. Additional accessories included with the piece are three Dragon Balls and the randomized CCG card. Jakks Pacific would later release this figure in various versions in alternate separate packaging and a 2-pack with a re-done paint job. Also included in the same set was Pui Pui, Majin Buu with the puppy Bee and a Dabura cookie, Krillin, and Babidi.

Forces of Evil Hercule and Majin Buu 2-pack

  • Jakks Pacific's Forces of Evil
  • Release date: 2003

Released in 2003, Irwin Toy's Hercule was repacked with Majin Buu as a 2-pack re-release set entitled "Forces of Evil." This is also a re-release of their accessories, the Dabura cookie (which stood at 2.5 inches) and Bee the puppy. However, the 2-pack was quite a mistake in its titling as Mr. Satan was never a force of evil and Majin Buu was later turned good so the defect in this 2-pack came in its initial title being rather inaccurate. However, the Dabura cookie's inclusion made it yet another collectible in relation to Dabura. The Hercule piece is the same as the prior Irwin Toy World Tournament Saga model.

  • Release date: 2005

Jakks Pacific has released a 10th Anniversary repackaged and redone Hercule as a part of the Dragon Ball Z series additions to the "10th Anniversary Collector Edition." Released in 2005, this specific piece portrays Hercule with some very minor touch-ups in terms of the paint job. Additionally, there's a small imprint on his clothing which reads the 10th Anniversary as its initial paint job designation and differs the piece from the prior Hercule releases by Irwin and Jakks. The figure is entitled "Hercule" as his alternate naming scheme and he still maintains the same look and is seen with his hands raised upward in the packaging. The new paint job features a distinct shading palette as well as the distinctive logo mark on Hercule's leg which reads "DBZ 10 Year Anniversary." The box mockup is highlighted by a galactic blue background and numerous sparks as the backdrop. Hercule's image is featured on the box front in pictorial format and the packaging shape is that of an oval shape. The Hercule figure remains the same as the previous releases from prior packagings offered by Jakks and Irwin but this is quite a rarity as it was released in scarce quantities, coincidentally making this piece highly collectible in this format. Other pieces included in this same 10th Anniversary set are Vegeta, Majin Buu (entitled "Fat Buu"), Super Saiyan Gogeta (entited "SS Gogeta"), and Battle-Damaged Goku for the single pack figures. Additionally, double-packs were included in this collection, featuring Semi-Perfect Cell (entitled "Cell") vs. Tien, Recoome vs. Battle Damaged Goku, and Bardock vs. Goku.

His hair is also a very vivid feature here, allowing for the very detail of every curl in his hair to be highly visible. Everything right down to the tied boots, flowing cape, and hair on his chest are perfected. Standing at approximately 7 inches tall, this specific model is rather well-crafted and stands out amongst numerous others imported from these Mexican Manufacturers. His musclebound body is kept intact, portraying his chest along with a black coloring scheme for his clothing.

Standing at approximately 7 inches tall, this specific model is rather well-crafted and stands out amongst numerous others imported from these Mexican Manufacturers. His musclebound body is kept intact, portraying his chest along with a brown coloring scheme for his clothing. His cape is also visible in this variant.
