"Move freely as you attack, wrapped in huge flames!"
Dragon Ball Xenoverse in-game description.

Nova Sphere is Nuova Shenron's ultimate attack.

Overview[]

Nuova grabs his opponent and encases both himself and the opponent in a large, swirling sphere of fire that takes to the sky. Any volatile attack made by either Nuova or the opponent will cause the sphere to explode, creating a powerful blast many times bigger than the sphere itself. Nuova himself will not be harmed by the explosion due to being immune to the heat.

Usage[]

Nuova Shenron uses this attack in a final attempt to kill Omega Shenron. However, Omega manages to possess Nuova's body at the last minute (due to having Naturon Shenron's ability to possess bodies), resulting in the latter's death and the former reabsorbing the Four-Star Dragon Ball.

Variations[]

  • Burning Tornado - A stronger version of Burning Spin used by Nuova Shenron and his EX-Fusion Nuova Goku in Dragon Ball Fusions.
    • Burning Hurricane - A version of Burning Spin even stronger than Burning Tornado used by Nuova Shenron and his EX-Fusion Nuova Goku in Dragon Ball Fusions.

Video Game Appearances[]

In Dragon Ball Xenoverse, it appears under the name Burning Spin and is Nuova Shenron's signature Ultimate Skill. It can also be obtained by the Future Warrior in GT Pack 2 DLC Parallel Quest Event: "The Shadow Dragons. In the game, it functions similarly to Burter's Blue Hurricane, albeit with a somewhat smaller range. It is among the few techniques capable of removing the Future Warrior's lock-on from an opponent when Prepare to be Punished is activated.

In Dragon Ball Fusions, Burning Spin appears as a Special Move used by Nuova Shenron, his EX-Fusion Nuova Goku, and several other characters. In Dragon Ball Fusions, it is performed in a manner similar to how Nuova Shenron used it on Omega Shenron and has two stronger variations that are performed in an identical manner though have greater power and range. The first is Burning Tornado (not to be confused with Burning Tornado Nuova Shenron's Blast 2 from Budokai Tenkaichi 3) which is stronger than Burning Spin, while the second is Burning Hurricane which is stronger than both Burning Tornado and Burning Spin. All three versions can be learned by Nuova Shenron and Nuova Goku.

In Dragon Ball Xenoverse 2, Burning Spin returns as one of Nuova Shenron's Ultimate Skills which can be obtained by the Future Warrior by summoning Shenron and wishing for more Ultimate Attacks (it can only be obtained after using this wish to unlock Time-Skip/Molotov) which will unlock both Burning Spin and Eis Shenron's Ice Cannon.

In Dragon Ball Z: Dokkan Battle, it appears under the name Burning Spin again as one of Nuova Shenron's Super Attacks, the finishing move being the Nova Death Ray.
