Powering Rage[1] is a blocking technique that has been primarily used by villains.

Overview

Frieza in his final form uses the technique, when Goku fires his Kaio-ken x20 Kamehameha in an attempt to finish off Frieza, causing the attack to case only slight damage on him.

King Piccolo tries to block Goku's Penetrate!

King Piccolo uses a similar technique when he tries to block Goku's Penetrate!, in vain.[2] His son and reincarnation Piccolo later uses it to block Goku's Super Kamehameha during their match in the 23rd World Martial Arts Tournament.

Raditz blocks Goku's Bending Kamehameha

Raditz uses a similar technique as well, to block Goku's Bending Kamehameha during his battle against him and Piccolo.[3]

Appearances in games

The technique appears as a card call "Frieza's Powering Rage" and usable by villains in the Dragon Ball Z Collectible Card Game. It gives the villain five power stages.

In Dragon Ball Z: Battle of Z. Powering Rage is Final Form Frieza's guard.
