Pyramids are four-sided buildings built in the desert south of the Red Ribbon Army Headquarters, near Fortuneteller Baba's Palace. There is a telephone booth nearby.^[1]

General Blue arrived there after being kicked out from Penguin Village by Arale Norimaki. Later, Piccolo used telekinesis to lift gigantic pyramids into the air during his training in preparation for Vegeta and Nappa's invasion.^[1][2]

In the Famicom game Dragon Ball Z Gaiden: Saiyajin Zetsumetsu Keikaku and its Playdia remake Dragon Ball Z Gaiden: Shin Saiyajin Zetsumetsu Keikaku - Chikyū-Hen, Gohan visits a pyramid in the Western Desert in order to find a destroy one of the Destron Gas machines. The pyramid is also seen in the game's OVA adaptation, Dragon Ball Z: Plan to Eradicate the Saiyans, but not visited.

Another notable pyramid appears in the video game Dragon Ball Z: Buu's Fury, the Kyodai Pyramid. It where Trunks meets Dr. Challenger of the Royal Academy of Science and gets the Seven-Star Dragon Ball.
