"Goodbye! Enough is enough! Now you'll see... what happens to those I hate! Stupid boy, you will pay! Yes, you're going to pay for everything you did to me!"
Super Buu in "Search For Survivors"

Revenge Death Bomber (リベンジデスボンバー Ribenji Desu Bonbā) is an Explosive Wave used by Super Buu.

Overview[]

To perform the technique, Super Buu charges pink energy around him while saying "I'll make you pay!" (許さないぞ! Yurusanai zo!) and unleashes it in the form of a gigantic explosion with him as the nexus, yelling out "I'll Kill You!" (ぶっ殺してやる! Bukkoroshite yaru!) inflicting a massive amount of damage.

Usage[]

Super Buu charges Revenge Death Bomber

Super Buu charging the energy within him, preparing to self-destruct

Super Buu uses this technique against Gohan. After being pummeled by Gohan's new strength, Super Buu decides that he must come up with a plan to defeat him. He uses the Revenge Death Bomber to blow himself up and create a diversion so he could have time to plan, knowing that he could regenerate after. Fortunately, Gohan saves Goten, Trunks, and Piccolo seconds before they are caught in the explosion. They assume that Buu blew himself up, though Gohan and Piccolo can still feel his energy.[4] Super Buu's plan is later revealed when he tricks Goten and Trunks into fusing into Gotenks, so that could absorb him, along with Piccolo, ultimately showing that Buu is a lot smarter than what they had originally thought.[5]

Video Game Appearances[]

In the Budokai Tenkaichi series, it is named Revenge Death Bomber where it appears as Super Buu's Ultimate Blast. The technique almost kills him when he performs it.

In Xenoverse, it appears under the name Ill Bomber (イルボンバー) and is one of Super Buu's Super Skills. After blowing themselves up, the user can move around and eventually they reform. While the Future Warrior can obtain this Super Skill as a reward in the Parallel Quest "Potara Warrior", it is exclusive to members of the Majin race because of its nature. While far weaker than the usual iterations and original depiction, it does not inflict damage on the user.

In Xenoverse 2, Ill Bomber returns as one of Super Buu's Super Skills. It can be obtained by the Future Warrior as a reward in the Parallel Quest "Gathering of the Great Evil Alliance". Though it can be unlocked by a Future Warrior of any race it remains exclusive to Majins and functions just as it did in Xenoverse.

"YOU WON'T get away with it!!! Never, ever, ever, EVER!!!"
— Super Buu before using the technique in "Dragon Ball Z: Dokkan Battle"

In Dokkan Battle, this technique appears as Buu (Super)'s Active Skill.
