Rolling Thunder Punch (ローリングサンダーパンチ Rōringu Sandā Panchi)[2] is one of the many rush attacks used by Gotenks.
Overview[]
While spinning his arm around, Gotenks nails the opponent with a strong punch.
Usage[]
Gotenks first uses this technique against Super Buu. When Gotenks charges at the Majin with the Rolling Thunder Punch, Super Buu tells him to stop, which Gotenks does before he can punch Super Buu in the stomach. Super Buu then tells Gotenks to hit him in the face, to which Gotenks angrily responds "Don't tell me how to fight" and charges the Rolling Thunder Punch again. He jumps to and punches Super Buu in the face, as Super Buu suggested. Even though Buu takes a direct hit from Gotenks, the attack is unsuccessful in doing any damage.
Other Dragon Ball stories[]
In Dragon Ball: The Return of Son Goku and Friends!, Super Saiyan Gotenks uses the Rolling Thunder Punch against Aka, propelling him into a lake.
Variations[]
- Rolling Thunder Upper (ローリングサンダーアッパー Rōringu Sandā Appā) - A variation used by Gotenks in Dragon Ball Z: Hyper Dimension.

- Dragon Ball Z: Super Butōden 3
- Dragon Ball Z: Supersonic Warriors 2
- Dragon Ball Z: Budokai Tenkaichi
- Dragon Ball Z: Budokai Tenkaichi 2
- Dragon Ball Z: Budokai Tenkaichi 3
In Super Butōden 3, it is named Super Uppercut and used by Goten.
In Dragon Ball Z: Hyper Dimension, Gotenks uses a variation named Rolling Thunder Upper (ローリングサンダーアッパー Rōringu Sandā Appā), which deals 3 hits in the windup, dashes at the opponent if there is distance, and knocks them down with a jumping uppercut.
In Supersonic Warriors 2, it is Gotenks' heavy blow.
In the Budokai Tenkaichi series, it is one Gotenks' charged strikes.
Trivia[]
- The Rolling Thunder Punch is similar to the attack Pirozhki used during the Cell Games. Although, the Rolling Thunder Punch is much more powerful and inflicts much more damage due to Gotenks being stronger than Pirozhki.
