Scatter Shot (連続閃光弾 Renzoku Sen Kōdan, lit. "Continuous Glint Bullets") is a Continuous Energy Bullet used by Piccolo.

Overview[]

First, Piccolo swings his arms apart and charges an energy sphere in each hand. Then, he yells "Scatter Shot!" as he fires multiple energy spheres against the opponent, inflicting a huge amount of damage.

Usage[]

Piccolo first uses this attack during his battle against Goku in the 23rd World Martial Arts Tournament.

Scattershot Explosion

Piccolo fires the Scatter Shot at Frieza

Piccolo later uses the attack against Gohan during their training at Break Wasteland.[2] He also uses it after fusing with Nail, during his battle against Frieza on Namek. After getting knocked into the ground by Frieza, Piccolo removes his weighted clothing and powers up to fight Frieza. Frieza is at first unimpressed but is soon overpowered by Piccolo's strength and knocked deep into the ground. Piccolo then blasts Frieza with the Scatter Shot, creating a huge explosion. However, Frieza manages to survive the attack and continues the battle with Piccolo.

Piccolo uses it against Gohan in the Garlic Jr. Saga.

Film Appearances[]

In Dragon Ball Z: The World's Strongest, when Goku knocks down Dr. Wheelo with his Power Pole, Piccolo retaliates by blasting the evil robotic scientist with the Scatter Shot. However, Dr. Wheelo is undamaged by their team attack and headbutts Piccolo into the ceiling.

Variations[]

  • Hellzone Grenade – A guided and more powerful version of the Scatter Shot used by Piccolo.

Video Games Appearances[]

Scatter Shot was named in The Legacy of Goku II. In the game, Piccolo fires three orange-yellow energy blasts that spread outward.

In both Dragon Ball Online and Dragon Ball Fusions, Scatter Shot is the name of the Scattering Bullet technique.
